My stay at this hotel in February under heavy slow was very good.My room was very large and on the lake side.It was very beautiful view on the lake frozen and covered by snow.Loved this establishment very much.Breakfast and dinner buffet were very good with too many cold and hot choices at a very good quality level.Coffee shop on the lake side is a fantastic place to have some time after work.Overall this is a very good hotel.

if like big rooms then you book qa delux room, or a lake view room, because the garden view is very tight.. the hotel in a good condition and its need a renovation, the best thing in this hotel is the half board meal, its delicues and varitety of food

Room Tip: book the delux or lake view rooms 3rd floor and above

They have location as one piece of heaven, but there is no VFM (value for money) a room for 500$ almost should be perfect, but first of all you will think your self entering 2-3 star hotels, there is a smell, and there is no air conditioning nor fan. They have a lot of food variety but not tasty during the breakfast and dinner. And the normal soft drinks are chargeable and not free. The bolu shuttle is not free And it is belong to the municipality, where it will stop many times before you reach bolu. It was a real disappointment for me, even after it cost me a lot to reach this hotel, I checked out the next morning. But still I don't know what it will cost them if they plan to be perfect as the location is perfect. I recommend to visit the area, but no more than one night.

We had a lovely, large, clean room and only wished we had been on the lake side. Fabulous variety on both dinner and breakfast buffets, included in half-board. Beautiful scenic site. We enjoyed wonderful classical Turkish music by our oud player/singer. Though an older hotel, it was completely updated just a few years ago to the highest standards. Bring a sweater, even in the summer, if you go to the lakeside dining deck. They say it is always breezy. With the half-board included, we thought it was a good value.

The only negative was that we could not get wi-fi to work anywhere.

Room Tip: Ask for the lake view rooms.

We booked for 3 days with the promotion stay 3 and pay 2. Staff working in hotel is extremely friendly and just try to make you happy. Location is very nice in front of the lake. I was expecting better rooms from their web site. Rooms are OK bit could be much better, Double bad is quite small and ordinary.

Hotel has half pension concept. Breakfast and dinner included but drinks not except water. 90% of tables drinks only water in dinner. Price of beverages are high. 35 cc Raki is 90 TL and a bottle of wine starts by 80 TL.

I also noticed more than 50% of the guests are young couples woman with covered head. Most of the customers are conservative Turkish families and also Arabs.

We choosed to Büyük Abant Otel for Honeymoon. I think there's wonderful place for Honeymoon.
The lake is wonderful and location in the Abant Lake is the best.
If you like walking, tracking i strongly recommend you to walk around the lake and if want you can ride a horse around the lake.
But i don't recommend staying here for more than 2 days.I think you get bored.Because there are not many attractions or things to do here.
If you went there with car, you can go near places there. For example Mudurnu, Gölcük, Kartalkaya. .. We loved Mudurnu and Gölcük. ..
Rooms were comfortable and quite.
The dinner and breakfast buffets were really good.
We enjoyed our stay here , it was restful. ..

Excellent location. Clean and newly furnished rooms. Good food and restaurant.
Limited inside activities. Expensive for the services offered (about 200 Euro/two half pension) but there are only 3 hotels on the lake and they also charge the same rates. The lake is wonderful and it is worth staying in one of those hotels if you can afford it.

Room Tip: Rooms on the lake side are more expensive and have limited lake view due to large trees in front. Sh...
