A well-constructed trail with both boardwalks and metalled paths through native bush, open grassland, vineyards and lakes with a wide range of sculptures ranging from the high sophistic to downright wacky creations.
The sound of native birds and the regenerated bush along with interesting vistas were great features.
Yes it was a pleasant experience, but given the number of free outdoor sculpture walks now available in New Zealand I question if it was worth $12 per person. I don’t think I would drive up to Matakana again just to view the sculptures.
