We used to visit regularly until New management took over. Since then the service has been terrible. We waited twenty minutes for someone to take our order when there was only one other couple in the cafe. By then the kids were starving and whining. Our youngest son has Aspergers and can be a little loud at times but he certainly wasn't causing a problem. Every time he spoke or made a noise the young girl behind the counter would stare at us which made us a little uneasy. Even our son asked why the girl kept "peeking at him". The food arrived after a long wait and to be honest the quality wasn't great for the prices charged. Customer service was terrible, a smile wouldn't have gone amiss! I see the place is now closed and the windows are covered in windowleen. I hope whoever takes this on spends a little time training staff on how to deal with the public.

“Good coffee and good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2014

stopped in for lunch while camping in the area. Service was first rate, facilities clean and cheerful with lovely artworks on the wall. Both meals, my soup and wife's pasta were tasty. It is also nice to find some where outside the big cities that can do coffee properly, and these folks can with out a doubt. Also looks like it has great facilities for campers and caravans. It was lovely to sit outside on the chairs and soak up the last rays of summer. Also serves food to late so if you miss the cafes in Bellingham then it's worth the drive out.

“Lovely place, great for kids. Good food”

Really enjoyed our visit to Boe Rigg. Worth the drive out. Artwork on the walls, and delicious food and drink. Although we didn't stay with camping, it looks like they have great facilities.

“ended up walking out!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2014

Visited the boe rigged for lunch. The coffee shop was quiet when we arrived. We were told to take a seat and that somebody would be across to take our order. In the mean time a group of motor cyclists arrived and the staff proceeded to serve the motorcyclists and ignore us waiting to place our order. We were not acknowledged and eye contact was not made! After 30 minutes of waiting without our order being taken we walked out and will not be returning! Before this we were regular customers but service has deteriorated!

“Didnt Open at all”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2014

Be warned, even though the website states that this cafe opens at 8am it does infact open at 12pm! Owner was rude, as if he was doing us a favour by taking our money. Try The Fountain Cafe in Bellingham instead, excellent food and service.
