Really nice to be able to get away for a long walk round the lake. Also go every Christmas for the tree

“Beautiful... But total rip off parking and food prices.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

It's NOT in Warrington!!

First thing, you get stung for the car park fee 6 quid if you actually want to stay long enough to see all what the beautiful forest has to offer. A basic sandwich and drink (for one person) from the cafe will set you back another 6 quid, so 12 quid gone before seeing anything!!

If you can go on a bike with a packed lunch you'll have a stunning free day out!

Linmere, Northwich, and Delamere are the nearest towns or villages.

Situated approximately 10 miles from the outskirts of Chester and close to the M56. The forest park is well sign posted from the A54, A556 and B5152.

“Avoid the cafe stunning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Stunning, beautiful, quiet, colourful, beautiful surroundings but for the love of all things green don't eat in the cafe - Really just don't! Also Delamere Forest is about 30 odd miles from Warington not sure why its listed as Warrington. Still makes no difference.
