“lovely meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

We had dish of the day in lovely surroundings in a lovely town with a big market square and easy to park. The meal was so tasty, the owner served us and he was friendly and efficient and there was plenty of choice including vegetarian and the bill was surprisingly low - about E68 for four including a bottle of wine.

“Traditional French cuisine with a modern twist and a dash of Morocco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013 via mobile

We always make an effort to visit La Tour when we visit Lembeye. Our waiter, one the proprietors of the restaurant, warmly welcomed us and our friends, and we chose to enjoy our meal outside in the Moroccan styled court; lamps, fragrances and water feature as well as an unspoilt view of the valley work together to make a superb atmosphere.

Whilst I was excited to discover a new vegetarian set menu, my friends each enjoyed their choices of meat and fish dishes, each one executed to the usual highest quality and greeted with gasps of surprise and joy.

The red gazpacho is sensational; each individual ingredient can be identified and simultaneously work together to make a smooth creamy soup, topped off with a sweet basil sorbet creating a truly indescribable flavor sensation!

My main course was hummus, Moroccan style, which arrived in a tagine, served with salad and roasted vegetables and was finished off with argan oil, which adds a touch of magic to the dish.

And as usual, dessert didn't fail to please! Each of us elated with our choice and unable to resist stealing a bite from each other's plate!

Everything about this boutique restaurant makes me happy: the artwork, the furniture, the atmosphere, the food, the wine, the attention to detail and finishing touches all add up to a wonderful experience.

“Pleasant evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

We were staying locally and chose this restaurant to celebrate the birthday of a person in our group of four.

The decor in both rooms is funky and lovely. We had a table in the front room in front of the fire.

We had a lovely meal served with genuine hospitality.

“Quirky restaurant with quality, traditional food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

Found this restaurant by luck on our travels of the area. Inside the restaurant is well presented, cosy and thought has gone in to creating a lovely atmosphere. The open fire was burning and seating was spacious. The service was excellent, very friendly, relaxed and at your own pace. Even though my french is poor, communication was unproblematic. Excellent standard of food, chose the traditional set menu of 35 euros which also had some modern twists to the food. Would recommend without hesitation.

“A Second Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

Just as good as the first back in November....4 of us sat in the front parlour part on top of a necessary log fire despite it being the third week in April for dinner....Menu at E 26 for a 3 courser with various options...i enjoyed the foie gras, confit de canard with delightful assorted accompaniments, and a crème brulée even with a boule of ice cream...all washed down with a local Ch. Floris - a good quaffable Madiran...do not miss the quixotic experience and ambience of the restaurant either....
