“Great view, great hosts !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2010

Sue and Dann are perfectly suited to host your stay in wine country. We stayed in the nautical themed Vancouver room that reminded us of our west coast home. The vistas from the deck are beautiful with the mountains and lake view. Conversations and recommendations for the area were appreciated from knowledable hosts. Food ahhh the food - tasty breakfast with homemade scones and cakes and baked egg dish. It is a great place to rest on a wine tour or trip to the Rockies.

Beautiful house, perfect view, knowledable caring hosts with a great sense of humour. The perfect place to chill on the deck with a bottle of wine or beer. Liked it so much we are going back!!!

This was our first experience of a B&B. I am pleased to say that it more than surpassed our expectations and we would not hesitate to recommend or return.

My wife and I stayed at the B&B for two nights. We had travelled from Revelstoke on our way through the Rockies and to be honest were unsure of what to expect.

The B&B is in an excellent location, out of town, overlooking the Okanagan Lake - a view to remember! It is approximately 10 minutes back into Kelowna.

We were greeted by Sue and shown to our room. We stayed in the Vancouver Suite, which is well appointed and had everything you could possibly need. Sue offered us both a cup of coffee after we'd settled in, and we went upstairs and joined her on the patio. Sue has excellent local kowledge and recommended a number of attractions to visit and places to eat.

Sue's breakfasts were fabulous, everything was freshly prepared and very tasty, and a great deal of it - her breakfasts certainly set you up for the day...

Sue and Dann were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble, they made us feel like a part of the family. Quite frankly we really didn't want to leave. However as we were, Sue pointed out a few places of interest along our route, for which we are thankful as we would have just passed them by.

After a long journey from Golden we were delighted to find a well appointed B&B and to receive a wonderfully warm welcome from the owners. The accommodation was everything you could wish for with lovely little touches. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. If we are ever lucky enough to repeat our Rockies tour we will certainly stay here again.

My wife and i picked this b&b because of its website and location as we were coming to Kelowna for the Wine Festival. We stayed in the Victoria Suite for 3 nights to take in 3 wine festival events including an amazing food and wine pairing dinner at Quails Gate Winery, which is all of 2 km away from this b&b.On arrival we were greeted by Dann and shown to our Suite which was at ground level which made getting our suitcases in easy with no stairs and only a short distance from the b&b entrance. What a beautiful suite with so much space including a couch and tv.The Suite had everything- you could tell that they had taken the effort to make all their guests feel so comfortable. After we were settled in Dann invited us upstairs for a glass of wine on their deck which was heated. It was a beautiful fall day and with the comfort of the heaters it was a treat to sit outside and enjoy the incredible view.We could see that the name of the b&b had been appropriately named.Dann and Sue provided us with maps and winery info and insite into the 5 wineries that were within a few minutes of their b&b. Sues breakfast menus were delicious and plentiful with the best homemade baked scones. We enjoyed our long morning chats with fellow guests and with Sue and Dann .We just loved this location with the wineries, the views and the peace and quiet-yet it was just a 12 minute drive to the winery event we went to that was in downtown Kelowna. We also enjoyed that the b&b was on a separate level to the main part of the house giving us all privacy we were looking for.Although the upstairs was not for the guest use- we were welcomed up anytime to ask for further information or to confirm our driving directions or just to chat about our day.We have already made tentative plans to return to next years wine festival and for sure we will be staying at A View to Remember b&b

We have just returned from our holiday in Canada and staying at this B&B for 2 nights was one of the top highlights of our trip.Myself and my husband had the Vancouver Suite and his 2 sisters had the Okanagan Suite, which they throughly enjoyed as it had 2 queen beds and a very large ensuite bathroom. The beds were the most comfortable and both rooms had everything- the most detailed rooms of our trip right down to nightlights in the bathroom along with robes, slippers and an iron and ironing board and a selection of teas and coffees.
Sue and Dann were gracious hosts and very informed about the local wineries- they also gave us great recommendations on where to eat- Quails Gate Winery and 2 Eagles Golf Course- both very close by with brilliant views and food.We also really enjoyed our tour at Mission Hill Winery
Breakfasts were lovely - each morning Sue cooked one of her own creative egg dishes - something that we had never had before - Sue is a great cook and her muffins and scones were a treat- My husband enjoyed and ate every last plum muffin!
On leaving ,Sue provided us with a map of Vancouver and directions to our hotel there along with tips of things to see along our way .

  • Liked — The breakfasts and the comfortable accommodations
  • Disliked — That we didnt visit in warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful outdoors

We stayed in this B&B for one night while we were passing through on our way to the rockies. We were greeted by Sue and shown to our room. Sue was very knowledgable regarding the area and gave us maps and information of good places to eat and information regarding the local wineries.

We stayed in the Vancouver suite this room was very comfortable and accomodated all our needs plus more.

Sue and Dann were very welcoming and we enjoyed a lively evening on the balcony enjoying wine and admiring the view with the other guests and the hosts. Nothing was too much trouble, we felt like a part of the family although we had never met them before. There are two small dogs which we did not find a problem (I am not a dog lover and usually stay well away!) Once the dogs had introduced themselves to us they left us alone. I never heard the dogs barking during the night or early in the morning, therefore, they did not intrude on our peace and quiet.

Sue's breakfasts were fabulous, everything was freshly prepared and very tasty.

My only complaint is that we did not stay long enough. We would definately return to this B&B if we return to Canada, but next time we will stay longer.
