“It was like being in the Caribbean.”

Stayed two wonderful nights in the safari room. Breakfast was spectacular. Good, hot food. Spent the days relaxing on the very private beach and watching the sunset from our balcony. At night, we gazed at the stars as fireflies surrounded our balcony.
It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend.
The staff are so friendly and the owner came around to every table during breakfast to welcome new guests and visit with old ones. It felt warm and casual. Worth every penny.
we have absolutely no complaints and we will be back.

We had a fabulous time at Brentwood on the Beach. Our stay was everything we were looking for during the long weekend. My husband and I immediately felt welcomed by the owners Joan and Peter, and Catherine was amazing. They gave us a lovely tour of the beautiful B & B. You can tell that a lot of love has been poured into this lovely home. My husband was particularly inspired by the perfect natural setting. He was in full creative mode up here and our photographs will remind us of our restful and enjoyable time here. The breakfasts were yummy, and the overall ambiance took us away from the hustle and bustle of our busy day to day lives. Our time at Brentwood on the Beach was just what we needed. We will definitely be back, and this time for a longer stay.

My wife and needed to get away and recharge our batteries and we decided on a B & B retreat. My internet search led us to choose " Brentwood on the Beach" in , Bluewater, Ontario.
The moment we phoned and talked to Catherine (the Brentwood booking&office manager) we started to feel welcome and that Brentwood would be the perfect place.

We had originally were planning to stay 2 nights, but our first night sleep was so quiet and comfortable and followed by such a generous, hot tasty breakfast that we just had to find out if our room was available for one more night.

Well, that extra night at this beautiful gem, had us asking for yet another. Owners, Joan and Peter made us feel like family, and we've decided that this will be a repeat experience for years to come.

In short, if you like a warm welcome,  beautiful grounds and scenery with tasty breakfasts served in bright dining room overlooking blue waters of a sparkling lake, stay at the Brentwood on the Beach, you'll be glad that you did.

Room Tip: All rooms are bright, clean and well appointed. We stayed in the "Brentwood" and it has a h...

My husband and I were looking for an over-night getaway, close to home, during our holidays. Brentwood on the Beach is a lovely house (probably 20 to 30 years old) that has been converted into a B & B (we learned from the manager that it was first owned by the VP for Woolworths). It is set on a residential cul-de-sac off Highway 21 (Bluewater Veteran's Memorial Highway) between Grand Bend and Bayfield.
There is a lovely indoor saltwater pool for swimming, sauna and hot tub, so bring your bathing suit. The basement is set-up with work tables and swivel chairs for quilting and scrapbooking retreats. Each room has a neat little feature of some kind (ie. a patio, a fireplace, a great view of the lake, a balcony, etc.).
The grounds are set-up for strolling, sitting by the BBQ or even climbling down the stairs to the beach. We especially enjoyed sitting on the chairs set-up on the beach and watching a thunderstorm roll in across the lake.
The atmosphere is calm, wiith an emphasis on chilling out. The manager had lots of recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc. There are loads of videos and DVDs to borrow too.
The breakfast in the morning was wonderful (eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee, etc.). We really enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again next year.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the lake!

My annual vist to Brentwood on the Beach is something I look forward to all year. Arriving there is just like like going home after being gone for a long time. Joan and Peter treat you just like family. I've been going for about 6 years now and I'm just as excited to go this year as I was the first. The staff is wonderful and the food is awesome!

Great accomodations, awesome food, good company, spa treatments and time for ME!

We did a girl's getaway at Brentwood in the summer of 2010 and had an amazing time!
Upon arrival, we were informed of nearby amenities and the available complimentary passes to the nearby Pinery provincial park. We were given a tour of the property and immediately felt right at home.
The indoor pool was warm, and places to lounge around the house (both inside and outside) were cozy, private and plentiful.
Breakfast was tasty and the hosts took the time to speak to us indiviually and get to know us. The beach was clean and the guests all got to know each other around a community beach fire at night, (without the pressure of having to stay).
We chose the Country Room as it had two twin beds. It was cozy and clean, although the decor could use some updating.
We loved the fully equipped self-use guest kitchen and the available BBQ overlooking the lake - something we've found B&B's don't typically offer! We had no reason to leave during our stay, which really makes it relaxing!!
This B&B is really good for people who want the independance and space of a hotel, with the personal touch of a bed and breakfast.
We are planning another getaway this July, and after days of searching Ontario B&B's, we admit there is really no other place that is as great as Brentwood. See you in July!
