Description: Situated in leafy Petersham next to Richmond Park, The Dysart Arms is a family run restaurant and bar aiming at the highest standards of food, drinks, music and service - quality that is at home in this beautiful Arts and Crafts country inn.Head Chef Kenneth Culhane, Roux Scholar 2010, prepares every aspect of the menu in our own kitchen using the finest seasonal produce, including that grown in our own garden just a stone's throw away. The garden provides for the kitchen all year round, with fresh produce including summer courgettes, asparagus and tomatoes, autumn pumpkins and squashes, as well as an array of wonderful fresh herbs, many of them age old varieties, that adorn the menu all year round. Our drinks selection follows this same theme of quality, with an extensive wine list from all corners of the globe, a unique selection of hand picked local and international beers, as well as, whenever possible, homemade cordials made with fruits from our garden. Our outside terrace has recently been replanted and is a wonderful summer retreat in which to enjoy our Head Chef's fresh cooking and to sample our array of fine drinks.Music is another important feature, with jazz piano every Thursday evening, jazz or classical music every Friday evening, and classical music every Saturday evening. We also run a monthly series of classical recitals on the first Sunday of every month, with an exceptional calibre of performer such as award winning pianist Ivana Gavric. Our Private Rooms overlook Richmond Park, and are ideal for lunches, dinners, meetings and receptions, with menus individually crafted for each individual event. Capacity is up to 44 seated or 65 for a standing event, with catering options including canapes, sit down meals, tasting menus and much more.Other features:- large car park.- dog friendly - we have one area inside where dogs are allowed so please do mention on booking.- child friendly - children under 12 are welcome at lunchtime and before 7:45 in the evening for an early dinner. We do ask that children stay seated at the table. Again, we have one area reserved just for adults so do please mention when booking that there are children in your group.- full table service from our friendly staff rather than queueing at the bar!- free wifi.Do please call Manager Barny Taylor with any queries

“Impeccable Dining & Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

First visit to this establishment which turned out to be memorable. The staff were both courteous and efficient, knowledgeable about the dishes and made our small party feel very welcome. The dining was fine and of a high calibre. Well presented, tasty and worthy of a Michelin establishment. The surroundings were both clean, functional and comfortable. I could not fault this and a special mention to Mr O'Connor who waited on us most diligently.

“Outstanding in every respect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

There is not much more I can add to my previous review except to say that The Dysart Arms continues to amaze us and exceed our expectations. Each time we visit we are welcomed by the same friendly faces and the constantly changing menu never fails to impress. The food and presentation is simply breathtaking and we always leave completely satisfied having enjoyed a culinary masterpiece and an overall thoroughly outstanding fine dining experience.

“Great place to chill - with style!”

A great bistro pub, divine food and great service. Loved the musical company when I was there in the past. Must revisit. :)

“Odd Menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Quality is absolutely top notch.

Menu is really ODD though.... you wonder why they make it so...

There is a clear absence or lamb, beef, pork... instead plenty of venison, pheasant ,hare, rabbit...

You wonder if people really want that stuff? I personally don't but my friends love it, and it is very pleasant place to go... so I am happy to go along too.

Lovely place, good service, I just wish they would provide a more normal menu.

“Richmond's number one for serious foodies!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Once again a truly memorable meal in this gorgeous restaurant. The parsnip soup with coconut and lime foam was out of this world and the Jerusalem artichoke pasta was amazingly light. My partner loved his steak three ways and the sashimi salmon starter. I honestly think this is one of the best restaurants in the Richmond/ Twickenham area- the food is so consistently good and imaginative the Dysarts deserves a much higher ranking. I wish the noisy baby brigade would stay away with their negative comments- there are so many places they are catered for around here which I am more than happy to avoid!
With complimentary amuses bouches, warm homemade bread, pleasant and friendly service – all in all a perfect place to spend a relaxing sunny afternoon.
