This was our third stay and we got the usual warm welcome. The beds are the most comfortable hotel beds we have experienced, and you will be guaranteed a peaceful nights sleep. Breakfast will 'set you up' for the day, and you will return from a day exploring North Wales to sumptuous and suberb locally produced and freshly cooked food.
We will be back!

My wife and I and our two children (ages 8 and 7) just returned from a journey to London and Wales which included a three night stay at this wonderful hotel. Huge, hearty breakfasts sustained us on our rambling, long hikes within walking distance of the hotel. We returned to elegant, first-class dinners, and then enjoyed a nightcap by the fireplace. My wife is partial to fluffy, crisp bedding, and was not disappointed! The happy staff was attentive to all of our needs. Our young daughter was enchanted to wake up in a room overlooking a meadow with 3 Welsh ponies and a flock of geese.

Have just returned from spending 3 nights at the Meadowsweet.
We booked this hotel becasue of the Tripadvisor reccomendations, and we were not let down.
Mary & Nelson & their whole team were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were homemade and superb. And i would thoroughly reccomend Room 8 ! Also do try and dine in their restaurant one evening, the local lamb shank was fantastic.
If you want to do the whole Snowdonia experience you will need a car, as Llanwrst is a couple of miles outside of Betws Y Coed. But whereas Betws is a tourist trap, Llanwrst really is a slice of real Welsh mountain life and the local pubs are quite an experience ! We loved them !
The Meadowsweet really does tick all the boxes of a good hotel. Great breakfast, comfy bed, quiet, attentive friendly staff, big room, great views.

Mike & Sarah, London.

My family and I stayed at this wonderful hotel for 3 nights. Mary and Nelson (the owners) were wonderful. We were greeted by Mary who insisted that Nelson carry our luggage up to our room.

Our room was a family room (slept 4) and it was very comfortable. The bathroom was newly renovated and everything was lovely and clean.

Breakfast was superb - we could have a huge range of delicious food.

Our children were looked after with the free loan of DVD's from a great collection.

Our room looked over a very pretty field and we could see rabbits each morning playing together.

The hotel is in a very handy location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed eating in at the hotel - great dinner.

We wished that we could have stayed longer and would love to return here.

Didn't know what to expect of a small hotel in the middle of north Wales. When I spoke to the hotel to book they were very friendly and helpful and were able to confirm that they were "veggie friendly".
When we arrived the man remembered us from the conversation the week before. Our room was well decorated and very clean. The bathroom (with a shower only) was again clean and tidy, if small. The only critiscm would be that the shower wasn't very powerful.
We ate both dinner and breakfast in the hotel and enjoyed both - the menu had a good variety for both meat eaters and veggies.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. It was a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely go back as and when we are in the area. Highly recommended
