“Friendly, homely place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2012

We stayed here for the night as our friends were getting married nearby and couldn't have wished for a better place to stay.
Mary was very friendly and an extremely good host. She went out of her way to make sure we had a nice time, which we certainly did. From the lovely cups of coffee, awesome breakfast selection, comfy bed and the wonderful views to the cute cats, this is a great place to stay.
We'll definitely be staying here again someday soon.

Great weekend at the Firs. Mary was very welcoming and provided plenty of cups of tea, plus the cooked breakfasts were great, with homemade bread, jams and marmalades.
The room was good witha comfy bed and the shared facilites were fine.
Overall a very pleasant stay in a lovely location, every possibility we will be back again !

Thank you for taking the time to do a review, Neil.So pleased you enjoyed the marmalades and jams. I've just had a session over the stove as my cupboard was looking distinctly bare!
Hope your son has fun planting the cacti!

If you want a relaxing break then this is your place. Beautiful cottage and grounds , lovely views. Ten out of ten for the bed's and the breakfast and the hospitality. Mary tends to your every needs without being under your feet and out staying her welcome. My little boy was also welcome and now i know i could of even brought my cat and dog..... If you love Premier Inn's then you'll hate this place, as gladly Firs Cottage has nothing at all in common with them!!!!........................

We stayed with our young son and my parents for one night. Mary was extremely welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. She also found videos and games for my son to play. Lovley stay!

Arrived to be met by a very warm and friendly host who made me tea - very welcome after a long drive.
The room was fine - comfortable and peaceful, waking up to birdsong.
Breakfast was home cooked and a real treat plus I bought some of Mary's fabulous home made marmalade to bring home with me.
All in all a wonderful B&B with a friendly host who has been kind enough to open their home to people seeking to explore this beautiful part of wales

I will definitely be returning!
