“The best pier in the country”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

After a mega-million re-fit the pier has emerged as a gem and a credit to a resort whichhas invested heavily in itself over the last two years. The old favourite machines which take 2p's and 10p's are still there along with a plethora of new rides and new machines. There are two cafes at its end which allow for super views over the resort - very thoughtful.
At night it is lit up in different colour - and at various times there are concerts and events in the evening.

“A walk over the sea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

Although it was March, and the tide was out, this was a very nice walk along the pier, looking back on the town, sea front and beach. There is also a cover walkway if it is raining or windy, a road train also runs.
Look out for the descriptive signs that tell you what you can see and local history. At the end of the modern pier is a large amusement arcade with fairground rides, 4D cinema, race track etc.
There are also a number of bars, cafes and at the end of the pier a lovely Edwardian tea room, cream tea is only £4.50, lovely.
There are also private rooms for parties including weddings.

“Grand?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013 via mobile

I remember going here when i was little so when I returned I was disappointed. It was re built a few years ago, and looks good, the views are nice (on a clear day looking out to sea) but obviously it's very loud and very over priced! Avoid eating here and limit your money (or set a budget before) we parked on the beach and walked down the prom and along the 'sand' it is full of fruit machines, little rides
And 'amusements'. It's very good for children - although expensive. I wouldn't return, but it's worth a visit (once). If you love loud, glorified holidays/places - you will love this!

Thank you for taking the time to give us your valuable feedback. It is much appreciated.

After the fire of 2008 we invested £51 million to create a 21st centrury indoor theme park to keep families amused whatever the weather. While it is not to everyone's taste, most of our 3.5 million visitors thoroughly enjoy it.

We are sorry you thought we were expensive. Our rides start from as little as 50p and we still have 2p pushers. We also regularly offer two meals for £10 in our Boardwalk cafe.

Kind regards.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. The Grand Pier offers traditional seaside entertainment which includes rides and slot machines. We offer a wide variety of food to suit all tastes. If you'd walked the lenth of the Pier you would have found our Boardwalk self-service restaurants selling salads, jacket potatoes etc plus our superbly-located Tiffany Tea Room which offers a wide range of home-cooked fayre.

We hope you will visit and see exactly what we have on offer.

Kind regards.
