“Very Friendly, Great Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

Was made to feel very welcome on arrival by Nicky and she was helpful with local knowledge of restaurants and places of interest. The breakfast was excellent and freshly made to order. Room was clean and the facilities in the room were very good. The complimentary bottle of wine went down a treat. Beach and promenade within a couple of minutes walk from guest house. Had a really good weekend, would definitely return.

We stayed at the Sarnia Guest House in October and this place was a real find. It was very modern, clean and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable.

The breakfast was amazing, it was huge! You have the opportunity to chose exactly what you want for breakfast including any special requests.

The house is very close to the town centre and the sea front. Parking isn't a issue as there is a large pay and display car park at the rear.

The owners are very friendly and helpful which always adds to the experience.

We highly recommend the Sarnia.

We booked to stay at the Sarnia Guest house for 2 nights very last minute following reading excellent reviews and were definitely not disappointed. When we arrived (earlier than anticipated) we were made to feel very welcome by the owner Nicky who upgraded us to a beautiful double en suite room on the ground floor (rm 10). The room had a huge bed which was so comfortable it was like sleeping on a cloud.
The decor was modern yet classy and the en suite had a nice shower with lots of hot water when we needed it. There was a sofa, large wardrobe and dressing table with kettle and ample supplies of tea and coffee. So much that we didnt even have to ask for more!
Parking was behind the property and was fairly reasonably priced so just a few mins walk.
The Pier and all attractions were just a 10 min walk away with a good choice of restaurants and bars. Good prices too.
The breakfast.. WOW! We have stayed in many places and I have to say it was the biggest and best cooked breakfast we've had at a B&B. With a choice of cereals, yogurts and fruit to start this mammoth meal kept us going til almost 4pm! Day 2 we chose a smaller one :).
Overall I would highly recommend this Guest house with hesitation. It is value for money, friendly and a lovely relaxing place to stay.
Thanks Nicky

I picked this guest house out from several others in the area based on the lovely pictures of the rooms on their website. However, ours wasn't anything like those shown. Was a bit cramped and small, with the bed pushed up against the wall which made it very difficult to get in and out of. Nowhere to put a drink/book apart from one tiny little corner shelf on one side of the bed. Decor and furniture very dated, and the room was very dimly lit. On the plus side though it was very clean with a modern ensuite bathroom. Free Wifi. The service and food at breakfast time was excellent.

Thank you for submitting a review about us. We were very glad to hear that you enjoyed our excellent fresh breakfast and service. I was however concerned that you did not like your room and can only apologize . If you had let us know at the time we may have been able to move you to a different room. You did i note, book direct on our website which does clearly show how the rooms are set out and you can choose a particular room, this does show a photo of the room with the bed clearly against the wall, this is are cheapest room available as it is small but as you say a new shower room and very clean, although this is a good basic room it still had towels, face cloths , shower gel, water, tea and coffee all free for your use and includes two full English breakfast's, i do not think its such a bad deal for only fifty five at all. Maybe next time chose one of our premium rooms there is almost twice as much room with a settee as well. Thank you very much for your time. Nicky

We were warmly greeted by Nicky upon our arrival and immediately felt very welcome. After being shown our room we spotted a man taking pictures of us, which at first we were a bit creeped out. So we ended up closing the curtains and keeping them shut. Lol. As for the room itself, we found it to be of adequate size with a cosy atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable and made little noise ;) Unfortunately we encountered a slight issue with the shower, as the temperature was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Nicky was very helpful in advising us which restaurants to try and had a lovely evening in the local boozer. The breakfast was very good and we were impressed with the layout of the room. Nicky had a constant smile on her face and was always laughing, and I mean ALWAYS laughing. Overall we had a fantastic stay and it was a great experience! Thank you for your hospitality :)

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Cornwall, we received a lovely welcome from Nicki on arrival. The guest house was very clean and tidy and well presented. Great view from the room to the sea and what a lovely comfortable and very big bed!
The breakfasts were fantastic - fit for a king (and his Queen)!! and nothing was too much trouble, excellent customer service.
Would highly recommend this guest house and we will definitely be staying here again on our next trip down south. Thank you Nicki for helping to make our experience of Weston Super Mare so good!!!

Room Tip: The one at the top with the sea view
