“Beautiful B&B, very friendly owners”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2013

My mother and I stayed here for two nights in August. We were visiting family friends in Wadebridge. The location was very convenient for exploring Cornwall. It was very relaxing being on a farm and away from the major towns. The rooms are well appointed and homely. There is lots of choice for breakfast and the owners are very friendly and helpful.

We will be returning to visit next in the near future.

Just saw that our 2010 review somehow did not come up but John and Anne definitely deserve a new one, so sorry about the wrong date! We actually refer to June 2010.
South Tregelath Farm is a perfect place to stay. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and fully equipped, the pond and farm area are just wonderful. We stayed for 1 night only, being the night before Royal Cornwall Show. We were desperately looking for a place to stay and as John and Anne had a no-show for this one night they agreed to take us on. Soooo friendly! Even more, after some chatting they took us to a sneak-preview of the show with them which we loved that much that we spent the next full day at the show. As we left early in the morning we did not have the chance to enjoy breakfast, but this was truly one of our best experiences ever! Very recommendable stay.
Love and greetings from Karsten and Steffi (from Germany)

Our first stay here and we would definately return. Our room was very spacious, clean and tidy and felt very homely. The en suite was was huge (compared to ours at home!) and well stocked up with towels, soap, shampoo, bubble bath etc. For breakfast there was a wide variety to choose from and the cooked breakfast was excellent along with home made bread and jams. Our hosts were very accommodating and even offered to take us back to the wedding venue we were attending the following day to collect our car. For hosts to go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and offer further services was exceptional. Well done to you both, we will definately recommend people to stay here. Also the views are gorgeous!

We have stayed at South Tregleath several times now and it never fails to impress. We have always been made most welcome (including the dog...) and the breakfasts are lovely. We will definitely be back...!

Our family spent the most fantastic week in Cornwall staying at South Tregleath Farm. John and Anne were amazing, the breakfasts wonderful, the accommodation first class and the welcome that we and in particular our 2 boys were given (who loved the opportunity to experience a little bit of farm life) was fantastic. We would definitely recommend South Tregleath Farm.

There are many good things to say about South Tregleath Farm, but probably the best is the fact that the spacious rooms are in a self-contained Annex, and you can come and go as you wish, with no feeling that you are imposing on the owners. The room was imaginatively decorated (so my wife told me) and ours had a small, private patio. The 'wet-room' would not be to everyone's choice, as it had a shower and toilet only, no bath, but very clean and new. The shared sitting room is the most striking I have seen in a hotel, let alone a b&b - see the photos. Only 3 rooms, so easy to get to know the other guests in the evenings, or retire to your own room. The owners were very friendly and genuinely enjoyed chatting to guests; also very helpful with places to go. Breakfasts at b&bs almost always range from good to excellent nowadays and this was well up there with the leaders. Other pluses: a large garden with pond, access to the Camel Trail, 2km down the hill; fairly close to Eden Project, beaches on north and south Cornwall coasts. We will definitely be back, this time for longer.
Minus points: none about the b&b itself. Two suggestions: (1) big, clear sign on the main road, especially as our SatNav took us to a nearby farm and (2) simple evening meals would be a plus (although there are pubs around).

A lovely rural location with large well appointed rooms leading out to individual private terraces. The guest accommodation is separately accessed and has its own lounge area with lovely views. A wonderful breakfast awaits you in the morning. The website is accurate and honest.
