“Good for cyclists”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Although local we have never been here before. Ideal stop point when on the Camel Trail close to Poleys Bridge. It is signposted, Blisland that is!
Pub is old fashioned and a bit weather worn too. A typical village pub. Village itself is worth a walk round too.
We ate outside. Food is varied and a good choice too. Well presented and excellent service from waiting staff.
Will definetely be going back soon :)

“Blisland; Cornwall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

The Blisland Inn is a proper pub in the original sense of the word, not like the many plastic ones you see these days that are not interested in selling beer.. It has local people with a homely feel. Plenty of good beer at decent prices. The meals we had were very good and well priced, just what you would expect. The seating outside which looks over the village green is ideal when you have a glass in your hand.
There is plenty of parking.
Blisland is well worth a visit and a gateway to Bodmin Moor, the church is worth a visit. And the Camel trail is down the hill. Also the shop has a cafe.

“Perfect, welcoming, classic country pub.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

My fiance and I stayed opposite this pub for a week and, as it was only a few yards away, went here most evenings for a few drinks. The staff were welcoming, the drinks were reasonably priced and there's nothing better than a pint of draught cider outside on a picnic bench on a sunny evening. We went for dinner one evening as well which we were very impressed with. The food was delicious (I'd recommend the Pork Belly), for a fantastic price, the waitress who served us worked very hard, but still made a real effort with every customer and provided us with excellent service. It was also a Wednesday which was quiz night. The two of us played along, paid a small entry price which went to charity and had a fantastic time with the other diners. There was no rush, the food was delicious and the staff and fellow customers were delightful. Would go back again and again.

“Jaded and faded...?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

On a sunny day, it's a nice enough place to sit outside with a drink, though don't take children there if you need to go indoors and don't go planning to eat as it is what it says it is, a pub and is pretty uncompromising. The "family room" is embarrassing and to be honest, with so much choice around, there are much better places to go than this for anything other than a drink. That said, the staff there are friendly and polite, they do sell pork pies from behind the bar and the flowers outside are pretty.

“Proper pub.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Camped near Blisland for a week at the end of May and was lucky enough to visit the Blisland Inn a few times during our stay. Whether you are sat at a table outside sipping a cold cider overlooking the village green ("Pint of Orchard, please" "Fizzy or still, love?"), sampling a local real ale from the dizzying array on offer at the bar or tucking in to a belt-busting meal in the cosy dining room, you will not be able to avoid thinking that you have died and gone to country pub heaven. Cracking. Can't wait to go back.
