We stayed here with our two childrens aged 3 and 4. They absolutely love it. Farmer nick or farmer Kim meets you at 9am each morning snd the little ones ride in the tractor trailor while the parents walk alongside. You then visit a range of what is more like their pets than an actual farm e.g two pigs, two donkeys, some chickens and a number of goats. This was perfect for the children!
This was the reason we booked snd the best part of our stay.
We stated in Two Chimneys which was a stone cottage. It was nice enough but certainly requires updating especially in the bathroom (shower awful and rail held up with rusty chain). That said it had all the amenities you need with a younge family.
One thing I didn't like (city girl!) is quite how remote u are!!! You really do need to take a tesco shop with you as the nearest supermarket is 30mins drive and my vision of country pub dinners was a fantasy! It's pretty much on the moor!!!
One thing I will mention is that the toddler outdoor play area is awful and I'd say quite dangerous! Old little tikes toys covered in algae with some questionable worms on and sharp broken plastic in windows of play houses... If I were them I'd shut that bit down as it just gives a bad impression... The indoor soft play however is excellent.
My personsl fave bit was the bunnies, loads if them all ready for cuddles! Of and alpacas outside the bedroom window!
One other dodgy bit is the 'train ride'. It's a small electric train which the owners children drive round and your children can have a ride. My little girl was sat waiting for a ride on the first day, the young boy sat on and started it zooming and I nearly had a fit!!!! Ended up chasing it and getting her off!!! Would like to know if that's even legal!!!!
All in all a good stay for the little ones but I wouldn't return.
