“Get nice and warm and cosy by the real fire with a cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake in a lovely cosy tearoom.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013 via mobile

I have been many times to this tearoom and its the best tearoom ive ever been to. And ive been alot of tearooms. If you are a lover of rearooms you must go to this place. Its all nice and cosy inside, with a real log fire and full of homemade cakes in the middle of the room. There are cosy teapots on display. The staff are all really nice and the food is very good quality and very good value for money. And the views are really nice as well. Its on the cat and fiddle road just before the cat and fiddle pub. Once you go here once you will go again and again and tell others its so good. The coffee and walnut cake is the best ive ever had. Xxxx

“Very good value, amazing selection of cakes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

Came upon this little gem of a cafe just by chance. Had soup and sandwich combo. Choice of 2 homemade soups and loads of sandwich choice in thick whole meal bread. Obviously people go regularly as there were a few tables reserved. Lots of choice from snacks to full Sunday lunch. The middle of the room had a long table full of homemade cakes - about 10 different sorts and some desserts. Unfortunately didn't have any as too full after the soup!
The location is fab with fantastic views although a bit blustery when we visited. The cafe itself is very homely and quaint with different quirky salt and pepper pots on each table and loads of sheep ornaments. Homemade crafts also available to buy.
Wish we lived nearer as would visit frequently.

“great place for food, service, views.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

We have called into the Peak View Tea Rooms on a number of occasions and at various times in the year and each visit we are never ever disappointed. The tea room caters for all appetites, Sunday lunches, cream teas, snacks etc and none disappoint, neither do the choices of homemade cakes which are a delight to both the eye and the taste buds. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service excellent. Do not pass this gem by as you travel between Buxton and Maccelsfield.

“Total perfection!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

I first visited this fantastic tea room last year for an afternoon tea and was simply blown away by every aspect of it. Firstly, the location is totally stunning with far reaching views across the glorious countryside. The building itself is beautifully quaint and homely and inside it is cosy and warm. As you step into the dining room you are confronted with a long table which is completely covered from end to end with sumptious home made cakes. The staff are welcoming, attentive and friendly and the menu is extensive. The most difficult thing is to choose from this menu whilst bearing in mind you absolutely have to leave room for one of the divine cakes. However, don't worry if you are impossibly full after the generously delicious main course - you can always buy some cake to take home with you.
I have just returned from visiting the Peak View Tea Room with my partner, after treating his mother to a Mother's Day lunch and just had to write this review. The tea room was extremely busy today but service was still friendly, brisk and efficient. My 'mother in law' chose the roast lamb Sunday lunch which arrived piping hot, with three fresh veg and thickly sliced lamb. She said it was the best meal she had eaten for years and she is a tough person to impress! My partner opted for a bacon butty with chips and I had a bacon and cheese baguette, also with chips. Both arrived with a colourful, fresh side salad and were delicious.
We were all full but absolutely had to sample a cake or dessert. Well, it would have been sacriledge otherwise! My 'mother in law' had syrup sponge with custard, my partner had trifle and I ordered carrot cake with ice cream. All were huge portions and all, total perfection.
I would recommend this tea room to everyone. If you don't visit it you will be mssing out on a veritable feast and all at an amazingly reasonable price.
