just happened to call in puss in boots with my son and daughter and son in law when we walked in we wer greated by the manager and asked how we wer and where we wanted to sit we did inted to have a sunday roast but we all plumped for a rump steak as he had a deal going on we started with black pudding tower which was black pudding layered with bacon and smothered in a mustard and cream sauce which was soooo good i could of licked the plate clean it was soo moorish , they the steak came !!! it was massive it was on an oval dinner plate and had to be layered on top of the chips, fresh tomatoe, peas and home madeonion rings it was massive !! and i had asked for a medium rare steakand it was cooked to perfection the taste of the meat was just right , then to follow was delicious mixed berry crumble but we all had to as for small portions as we wer so stuffed with the steak, the pudding came with home made icecream thewhole meal was perfection there was not one complaint from any of us
would defo recommend this to any one thinking of a place to go for an amazing meal and the price for all 3 courseswas only £15
the pub is situated next to a river which has barges going up and down, so peacfull to watch and your able to sit outside next to the river with a drink but it was raining when wer there
will defo be going back very soon !!
