We visited Oliver's Restaurant in February 2013 and we were not disappointed one bit.
We received a lovely warm welcome from the front of house and the service we received throughout the evening was top notch.
NOW.... THE FOOD... we thought we had arrived in Food Heaven!!
I chose the goats cheese roulade to start with and my husband chose the scallops, they were cooked to perfection.
For the mains I chose the duck with truffle sauce which melted in the mouth, my husband had "The Pig" which was a trio of pork tenderly cooked, in fact my husband says it was the best pork dish he had ever tasted. The mains were accompanied by roasted vegetables with fantastic flavours. Presatation was perfect.
We hardly had room for desert but the menu was too tempting. We decided to share a banana brioche with a hot peanut butter and salted caramel sauce with a massive dollop of homemade caramel ice cream placed right on top!! Delicious!!
I am sorry Oliver's if I have not written the correct names of the dishes but all I can say is... Thank you for such a unforgettable dining experience, it truly felt like each dish was made with love & passion for food.
If you get the chance take a trip to Oliver's you will think you've arrived in Food Heaven :)
