“Great beer and Amazzing El Gringo Burger!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

A cosy 16th Century Coaching Inn with open fires, there was a great selection of real Ales -Timothy Taylor's Landlord was in superb form. Everybody enjoyed their roast dinners and their pies they do went down a storm. I had the El Gringo Burger - a spicy burger topped with a Chille Lime and Tequila Cheddar - Wow! I can see why they say its their best selling Burger! We'll definitely be back!

“Big tasty portions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

We went as a family for mothers day. The pub appeared quite but we were at the front away from the restaurant. The food was plentifull and the roast meats nice. Overall the veg could have been better. A nice meal out!

“Great pie, shame about the rest”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

Nice pub with well kept beer. However we order lunch for a group of 6 overall were very disappointed. The home made pie was excellent but the other 5 meals were rubbish. They appear to want to make up for quality with quantity as all the meals were over facing. Shame ad could be a great spot for lunch.

“Very good food and beer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

I popped in early evening for a quick meal. I had a great pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord and a curry. There was plenty of chutney and two super poppadums. The curry was lamb and tasted of lamb too! Friendly knowledgeable staff (about beer) and a good local crowd who made me feel welcome. Thanks!

“A Pie To Die For”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

My visited this pub recently with a friend and felt from first entering that I was going to have a totally enjoyable experience.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff very friendly and helpful and my word - the food I had was excellent.

I had the minted lamb pie. Without being too over the top - probably the best pub pie I've ever had. Quality, portion size were fantastic and it was HOT !

Beer also excellent. I totally recommend !
