We've stayed in the Royal/Windsor Inn a couple of times before. First thing we noticed was the new reception area. Very professional looking now compared to the last time. We had a room on the 4th floor and as I said before the lack of a lift could be a big deterant for a lot of folk. But the views are worth it. My wife just loved sitting watching the world go by. That weekend there was a continental market just across the road and so the town had a Mediteranian feel to it. We were on a 2 night break with 1 evening meal at £65 each. Terrific value. We used our meal allowance for lunch on the Sunday and we both really enjoyed the food in the bar. We went to the new Titanic building (absolutely fantastic) in Belfast on the Saturday afternoon and the staff in the hotel recommended a terrific Indian restaurant called the Ganges for that night. After that we went to the disco but we just couldn't stick the pace, we were exhausted. Great music for the over 30's though. My wife agreed with me that the staff made the weekend. She needed a few things laundered and that was done and returned the same day. We'll definitely be back.
