“Top rate fish n chips”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

First visit to the Bricklayers but it wont be the last. Visited at Sat lunch time, a few people eating and more in the bar having a drink, it appears to be the right mix of good pub with reasonably priced well cooked food,
Both of us opted for fish n chips(haddock). Good size portions and the beer batter was spot on, the chips too were really crispy.
A good range of beers to go with it too. Thoroughly recommend this for good value unpretentious pub food,

“Great sunday roast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

nice little village pub with small but friendly restaurant. Food all home made and good portions. Food served with a smile. Bar staff could be more welcoming on entering.

“Wish I could be a local”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

On our way between Westerham and Sevenoaks when I decided to pop in here on a Saturday lunchtime with my wife on a rare day without the kids.
Pub was well used by a mixture of ages and the staff made everyone feel welcome, whether it was a chap on his own, family groups, old couples or friends meeting each other.

Extensive, but not over fussy menu, that covers all bases from a bowl of cheesy chips or an
omelette to pan-fried sea bass.

Food was very well executed; tried the broccoli & stilton soup (with a nice chunk of Stilton floating on top) served with good (non-plastic) bread, the Mediterranean omelette with Greek Salad, massive beer-battered onion rings plus deserts.
Beer is VERY well kept and along with the Harveys Best, there was a good selection that made me wish I wasn't driving. Inventive list of other drinks including a number of English wines too.

No garden, but lovely village green opposite with views over the lake and a decent size carpark along the driveway all help add to the appeal - especially when the local Morris Men are visiting..
Highly recommended.

“Good Beer, Good Food, who could ask for anything more”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2014

Pitched up mid evening with three other friends to grab a bite to eat. Despite the restaurant being very busy we managed to get a table very quickly. I would recommend s booking though - it seemed we were lucky to get in at all. Their burger is a 'must have'. Loads of choice on the menu though and you can tell the team here really work hard for each other, and do it all with a smile. I would give this a massive thumbs up for friends and families alike.
