We have been here a couple of times and previously had no complaints infact i have recommended people visit, however if our last visit had been our first i'm not sure we would have returned. Firstly when looking at the specials board the steak and ribs were priced at £13.25, when we moved to the other side of the pub to our table the same meal was priced at £14.25, i queried this with the waitress who informed me the higher price was the correct price, i decided to order it anyway as i heard it was nice . I asked for my steak medium and when it arrived there was i small lump of steak which was well done and i could have bounced around the pub, the ribs were covered in a lovely tasting bbq sauce, but there wasn't any meat on them, the onion rings were soggy. I did complain about my steak to the waitress she offered to get me another, but as everyone had their food i declined. My husbands steak was also over cooked to his requirements. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, the gammon looked beautiful, and my mothers fish was perfect.. Puddings....i had sticky toffee pudding with cream it was delightful, my daughter had the waffles which she enjoyed, my mother had plum and apple pie which was soggy due to the pastry being microwaved, but i have had that on previous visits and enjoed it. The service was good, the waitresses were attentive. I hope this is just a one off and i will return to see if this is the case.
