My son, daughter inlaw my husband and myself had a table booked for 8pm on Saturday 19/1. When we arrived for our booking the restaurant was already full of costumers waiting for there table. As we were waiting 23 people came in and sat down at a table. My son asked the waiter how long we would have to wait as our table was booked for 8pm and it was nearly 9pm. He said he would have a look, he came back and said he could show us a table we could sit at when the people had finished. Ive never heard of being shown a table you may be able to sit at before, anyway we had a look but it wasn't suitable as it was literally in from of a real coal fire. So we walked out disgusted. This is not the first time we have had trouble in Saffron's. we went one evening there was 8 of us we waited 2 hours for our meal. I just think they try to cram as many customers as they can in. Hate to think what would happen if there was fire as there is no fire escape that i have seen. Saffron's is defiantly going down hill
