Service was awful. We were a table of three and meals were served 10 minutes apart. Atmosphere non existent and manager who clearly doesn't want the restaurant to be a success. Starters were fine but then the problems started. Two pasta dishes like soup more akin to dish water. When we complained we were advised by the owner that it was the way the dish was supposed to be and that it could be taken away and strained!! The next suggestion she made (twice) was to add more cheese. The next suggestion was that it was the way I ate my pasta that was the problem!!
The waiting staff advised its always like this and the owner doesn't take well to being challenged. We were then told the owner doesn't even allow the staff to keep their tips. Clearly not a place I'd like to work!! We asked what deserts were like to be told 'they come from a can'!!
When we got the bill, I advised that I wouldn't be paying for my tasteless meal. None of our three main courses were enjoyable. The response of the manager was 'It's another one of those tables'. I felt it appropriate to let the manager know that I didn't appreciate her attitude, which resulted in almost a full blown argument, in front of other guests I hasten to add.
If you want a fawlty towers experience, this really is a good example. As for a quality dining experience, it is not!!
