Wow! What a treat! From the warm lemon cake and Yorkshire tea on arrival to the hand made chocolates on departure it was truly 5*. The accommodation is beautifully appointed, the food is excellent and it was a joy to sit in the conservatory dining room overlooking the garden. Debbie is a delightful host! What more could one ask?

We stayed at Ashfield Luxury Guest House 13/14 July. It is such a beautiful house, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The guest lounge and conservatory are places you want to relax in and the bedroom most comfortable with so many little extras. We were welcomed by Debbie with tea and lemon cake - what a lovely touch. It is luxury and worth that little extra. Will be going back in the future. The best B&B we have ever stayed at. Thank you Erica & Andy.

We met up with friends @ Ashfield House for Jubilee weekend. We agree wholeheartedly with previous comments about this outstanding B & B. It was a pleasure to eat a high quality breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the wildlife garden. It was even more special to sit there in the early evening watching the deer on the adjoining land. Bedrooms & bathrooms are to a very high standard but it was the little extras such as the hand made chocolates that made all the difference. Thank you Debbie for your excellent hospitality & we look forward to visiting again when we are next in the area.

Beautifully appointed B&B with charming hostess Debbie. The rooms are very modern, spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. The conservatory and guests' lounge are spacious and relaxing with great views of the wildlife-friendly, meadow type garden. It was lovely to watch the birds and squirrels as we enjoyed Debbie's delicious breakfasts.
Tommy and Debbie planned and built their B&B being mindful of the environment and the result is wonderfully comfortable for their guests with underfloor heating, double glazing and use of rainwater being just a few of the many measures Tommy has taken to ensure minimal environmental impact.
There is ample, easily accessible parking at Ashfield House and it is within easy walking distance of the town centre and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway Station.
From our first contact with Debbie when we booked accommodation online from Australia, she was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Thank you Murray for your lovely review, we are glad that you enjoyed staying at Ashfield House and that you were pleased with all of the environmental measures we took when designing the house. During Autumn, among other things, we intend to build a large pond in the wildflower meadow to encourage more wildlife, maybe the deer will stop for longer to drink!

This B&B had 50 'Excellent' reviews and now it's deservedly got 51 Excellent Reviews!!! We stayed for 2 nights and this is everything you could wish for in a quality B&B; the warmest of welcomes with lemon cake (recipe please, Debbie!), a really comfortable room (Sue loved the chocolates!!!), a great shower in a lovely en suite, and an absolutely great breakfast (the freshest of eggs!) whilst looking out over the wild life garden, full of birds, squirrels and the odd cat! The greatest accolade we can give is that we would stay again and again! Thank you, Debbie; it was memorable!

Thank you Leigh and Sue for your kind words. The secret to the lemon cake is the fantastic eggs that our happy hens lay each day so the eggs are the freshest they can be and this really makes a difference. The gorgeous chocolates come from our local chocolatiers and are hand made on the premises. We are so pleased you enjoyed watching the wildlife from your breakfast table, this is a big hit with all of our guests we even had a deer wander into the garden the other day much to everyone's delight and a Turkey turned up last month so you never know what you are going to see during breakfast! We look forward to welcoming both of you back again soon.
