“Simply the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2011

We have now spent over 70 weeks vacationing in the UK and this is the number one B&B in our experience. Facilities, food, service and location cannot be beat. We have come many times and are looking forward to returning again.

Ian and Linda were delightful hosts. Their home was elegantly appointed, like staying in a carefully cultivated mini-castle. I was tired from walking 18 miles that day on the coast to coast. Our room didn't have a tub. They said, "you're welcome to use our family tub." I did. it was great. if in the area, we'll come back again, for sure. price was reasonable for what you got.

Room Tip: all their rooms seemed well appointed, individually outfitted

We enjoyed it so much, everything you could ask for on a short break. Excellent base to sightsee the Yorkshire moors and surrounding area. Our hosts Ian and Linda gave us some very good ideas of what to do locally. We already miss the great breakfast in the mornings which set us up for the days sight seeing. Would go again.

Lovely old vicarage, room was beautiful (although shower not very user friendly!) and views were stunning. Slightly off the beaton track but worth seeking out, owners very friendly and village lovely. Would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed rural retreat.

During our 3-week trip around England we stayed in several hotels and B&Bs. Thjs was our favourite. Ian and Linda are gracious and helpful. The room was spacious with wonderful views. En suite bathroom good. Breakfasts were excellent. Nearby walks very nice. We will go back next time we tour.

We recently stayed at Sevenford House, whilst visiting the UK. We needed somewhere to stay in the Moors but central enough to be able to go on day trips to Whitby, Scarborough and Goathland. The rooms were absolutley beautiful, spacious and clean, and you could tell it was a loved family business. We stayed here with our parents and they too loved the environment. The hosts were wonderful offering local information, and the breakfast was great. For value for money, this place certainly is worth a visit.

Hosts were very accomodating in dealing with our short notice reservation. We received a very warm welcome and our stay exceeded our expectations. Hosts offered to book us an evening meal in the village.
Very good night sleep in a large comfortable bed. Breakfast provided a good choice and was of excellent quality. All in all an experience that enhanced a quiet and relaxing break in a rural location.
