“Serene and beautiful”

This is a lovely holiday property in a beautiful location. The house and gardens have been designed and furnished with great care and attention. We felt relaxed and happy from the moment we arrived. The property was immaculate throughout and the owners had left us wine and roses to get our stay off to a lovely start. It was all I had hoped for - very special.

“Gorgeous property”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

The property was stunning and the garden was beautiful. The views over to Glen Beach were pretty awesome, particularly at sun rise and sunset. We loved exploring this part of Wales, which is very pretty.

The owners left us a bottle of wine on arrival, a nice touch.

The cottage was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable - I slept very well all week (baby's night wakings aside!)

My only complaints would be that the temperature of the hot tub was hard to maintain - we never got it hotter than tepid. It was also quite a lot of work to keep it fired up.

Whilst the cottage was child friendly in that there was a cot/highchair and children's cups/plates/cutlery, it probably wasn't ideal for our 9 month old - it has stone flooring throughout and I was constantly worried about falls and bumps.

My only other minor complaint would be that the cottage could only be hired on a Friday to Friday basis. For us, this wasn't ideal as it meant having to take 6 days annual leave rather than 5. But the main problem was travelling on a Friday - we had an excruciating long journey back home on the final day in Friday rush hour traffic - 9 hours in the car with 2 pre-schoolers was not fun!

That said, we had a fab week and would definitely consider returning.

“Great views from a luxury cottage in one of the most beautiful counties in the UK. Loved it.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We had a really lovely break at this fabulous place. The weather was perfect, and having that direct beach access was great for the dogs.

The whole style and feel of Glendale was wonderful, especially that unique deck and amazing view. We loved the attention to detail, reclining Buddha's and driftwood artwork through the windows etc, The cottage facilities were first class and you really felt as if there was no-one around you. A very peaceful bolthole.

The hot tub was hard to keep up to temperature and needed quite a lot of attention, but when it was hot it was lovely.

“Fantastic location”

The house is wonderfully located, just out of the village but right on the coast path. It was an easy walk both down to the Glen beach and into the village. We spent most of the week around the house enjoying the facilities...we were very lucky with the weather so BBQ'd most days and enjoyed the gardens and boules pit. The gazebo was a very welcome relief from the midday sun,and the hot tub was fabulous...we tended to have a morning soak about 7.30am as the world was waking up. The decking was bathed in sunshine all day, two of the party even got up to watch the sunrise at 4.30! All in all this was one of those family holidays that will long be associated with 'Good Times'.

The cottage is beautifully furnished with lovely views. Hot tub was fun and very relaxing at the end of the day. It is a picturesque walk to the sea. Town within easy walking distance. Lovely coastal paths. We would love to go back and recommend it to others.

“fabulous cottage - you won't want to leave”

Amazing views from the huge terrace to the sea and a top spot for the gas fired BBQ. Extremely well kitted out, modern cottage, light, airy with comfy beds, excellent quality towels and bed linen. Turn left out of the back door and you're on a path to Glenn beach and when the tide is out there's a great walk (dog friendly ) around to the point or walk the other direction into saundersfoot. Plenty to do. Alan does a great boat trip from the harbour on the happy hooker to catch bass and mackerel and was great with all the kids ( aged 9 to 18). We also hired surf boards and body boards in saundersfoot (waves on beach here too tiny ) and went surfing at Manorbier beach, where some people were also having a surf lesson. Went to the blue lagoon water park on a rainy day which we all loved but go after 1 when all the slides are open. Pack your beach towels and iPod and this is a perfect family holiday. Great butchers ( also does great pasties and sausage rolls) and cake shop in village and a handy tescos express with cashpoint. Liked kook'a'bar best for a meal out, for atmosphere and it was full every night so book ahead. Kids enjoyed stoking up the fire for the outdoor hot tub, which is an added bonus.
we had an amazing time and didn't want to leave.

Easily the best rental accomadation I have ever stayed in on holiday. There is great attention to detail with all you could need. We arrived to fresh flowers and chilled wine and the hot tub was lit and ready to use. The property is finished to a high standard, plenty of room fro six people and is set in a secluded spot with mature garden and fantastic views. However, its less than 10 mins walk to the centre of Saundersfoot and even less to the wonderful Glen Beach. If you compare the price to agent lets, it is very competitive.
