We visited The Reptile Experience today as It was raining and we were looking for an indoor activity. Thank the lord for the rain! We paid £8 each to get in and I can honestly say it was the money well spent!
You initially walk into the shop with snakes, lizzards and spiders all in tanks, well laid out and all the animals are easily views.
Next was onto the turtle tank, and best of all the 'back room' where you sit to look at, touch, hold the animals. There was already a family there when we arrived, but we didnt have to wait, we were invited in to join the group.
We first saw a hedghog, not what you expect at a reptile centre granted but still a real treat. She was a beautiful little thing.
Next came lizards, snakes(tiny ones all the wsy up to HUGE ones) chameleons and tortoises. We were unable to see the spider as she was protecting an egg sack, so that was totally understandable.
We feed some of the lizards too which was fantastic.
We spend such a long time in this room, there was no rush, no limit on photography, it was a very relaxed experience with a very knowledgeable guide (sorry we didnt get his name :/)
Once we had seen all the animals that were being brought out we went into the haunted house bit. And well, thats an 'experience' lol
All in all we spent almost 3hrs here, and it went SO fast because we were having such an amazing time.
We wouldnt hesitate to return and recommend this place to everyone!
Keep up the good work guys, you do it brillantly!
