visiting here felt a little like stepping back in time - to the 80s maybe but there was nothing wrong with that.
The food was plentiful and very well cooked. Quail and pheasant recommended. The lemon meringue roulade was one of the nicest puds ive had. The pate was a bit of a disppointment, especially compared to the one i had a few days earlier at the st brides hotel but thats a minor quibble
Good wine list, some good bargains. Service was pleasant and professional - not false or over the top - my pet eating out hate. pPus no enforced "optional" service charge.
