“Another good visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

We have just returned from our fourth visit this year to The Old Tram House and once again found the service, accommodation and friendlyness so very good. We have to visit Stirling for family reasons and find Alison an excellent hostess making our stay less stressful than it might otherwise be. We'll be back again before the end of the year. Thanks Alison for making our stay so comfortable.

Room Tip: All rooms are very comfortable but the twin room at the rear of the property has extremely comfortab...

The guest rooms, as far as we could see them, the breakfast room and the whole house are decorated in a quite loving and elaborate way and the host is as friendly and helpful as one can just wish! We had a short, but perfect stay that we really enjoyed! And many thanks for your help again!

My friend and I stayed two nights at the Tram House B&B. Upon arrival, we were immediately shown to our lovely, comfortable room. Then were given a map and directions for the Wallace Memorial for an afternoon tour. When we came back, we were given several restaurant choices nearby and had an excellent meal within walking distance. Next day, perfect directions to the castle and downtown, and another great restaurant, this time we drove.
The breakfasts at the Tram House were wonderful, everything was very clean and comfortable, the owners very welcoming and helpful.
I would highly recommend the Tram House for a stay in Stirling.

The location of the B&B is very convenient:
- close to the University: 7 min walk to sports institute or 5 min bus ride to main entrance (ca. 1.7£)
- 10 minutes bus ride to the centre (ca. 1.7£ or taxi for 5£).
The nex bus station (Causewayhead opp. 38) is right in front of the B&B and is served by several bus-operators.

The host Alison is very friendly and uncomfortable. She provides guests with information about sightseeing ore eating out.
My room was very well equipped:
- wardrobe, chairs
- water-cooker for tea/coffee
- private facilities with hairdryer, towels and soaps
Further impressions:
- very rich breakfast
- nicely/specially decorated (you feel Alison's passion for details)
- warm, calm room

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this B&B. The only shame was I only stayed for the one night! Alsion is so lovely and helpful! The rooms are spacious, as are the bathrooms. Everything is absolutely spotless. I had a delicious breakfast, and was impressed with their veggie options! It was so plentiful I didn't really need to have lunch. I also liked that it's in a quiet area, bit there was a supermarket at the end of the road and the walk to the city centre is not bad at all. Fantastic value for money as well. Would not hesitate to recommend!

Our experience at Alison's B&B was fantastic. She made us feel welcome and well cared for from the moment we walked in the front door until when we reluctantly left a couple of days later. Our room was beautiful, the breakfasts were delicious, and more importantly our beds and pillows were comfortable. Alison was the consummate hostess doing everything from making sure we had chocolates, biscuits, tea, coffee and bottled water in our room to making our supper reservations. Our room (room 1) was large and although it faces the street, we had no complaints about noise. We were both blown away by the experience and will be returning to stay with Alison when we head back to Scotland for sure.

Room Tip: The baked omlette was a delicious breakfast choice.

My husband and I stayed at The Old Tram House in July for a couple of days. We were very warmly welcomed by Alison and shown to our room which was large, comfortable, airy and pristine. The bathroom was huge and everything was provided by way of toiletries and little extras. The hospitality tray in the bedroom was lovely with great biscuits and bottled water also provided.
We enjoyed breakfast at the communal table in the dining room, where we met and chatted to visitors from a variety of countries and in the evenings a complimentary dram of whiskey was provided in the comfortable lounge.A nice touch! The B&B is very convenient to the town centre and all of Stirling's tourist attractions. Alison advised us where we could go for meals and was more than helpful in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed our chats with her.
We would wholeheartedly recommend The Old Tram House to other visitors to Stirling.
