We came upon this hotel purely by chance and after finding it and experiencing the staff from main reception to guest services we said from the time we got in our room till we checked out if we new it was there from the start we would have stayed the three nights instead of going through what we did previously , the restaurant was a good atmosphere coupled with well priced good value food plus service , anything we needed throughout out stay was always taken care of ,
Just a last message from happy travellers keep it a secret if you can but if you break
Stay there you will not be disappointed ....

Room Tip: Wish I could . Just prepare to be surprised ...

Having noted your address, you are well travelled and appear to be far from home, so I'm very glad our team looked after you well and you enjoyed our food too. Thank you for the high rating and - as we say in Scotland - Haste ye back, kind regards, Gail

Stayed here for a 2 night midweek break and we thoroughly enjoyed it. On our arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist whom I asked for a ground floor room as I have difficulty walking upstairs and she kindly arranged this for me, our room ( 132 ) was situated at the rear of the hotel which was quiet and had a pleasant view.
Our room was adequate and clean with tea and coffee making facilities, a modern bathroom complete with toiletries and fluffy white towels.
We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and found the menu quite varied and most enjoyable without being too pricey, the restaurant staff were most pleasant and efficient.
The buffet breakfast was varied with both hot and cold selections and again the friendliness of the staff was good.
The hotel is situated in lovely grounds and on the day of arrival we were a little early for check-in and went for a leisurely stroll around the lake.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to family and friends and would most certainly return if we were in this area again.

Needing accommodation for our visit to the Commonwealth Games but not being able to afford anywhere in Glasgow, I found the Stirling Management Centre via Booking.com at a cost of £198 for two nights' B&B. Our ground floor room at the back of the hotel was quiet, clean, light and airy with a king-sized bed and en suite bathroom. Although clearly aimed at the business traveller, it was perfectly adequate and I would say comparable with a Premier Inn. Our evening meal in the restaurant was fine although the portions were perhaps a little on the small side and my dessert (mousse) was still largely frozen. The Sunday morning buffet breakfast was good although the choice of non-cooked food was a bit limited. On the following morning, they seemed to be short staffed as the poor chef was continually disappearing into the kitchen for freshly cooked food, leaving guests waiting with no-one to serve them. There was, however, more choice of cereals, pastries and fruit. The real plus point of this hotel is its front of house staff. They could not have been more helpful, particularly with advice on getting to and around Glasgow. This was invaluable and certainly helped us with what could have proved a very stressful situation. I would recommend this hotel on the basis of convenience of location (easy access to major roads), attractive setting and helpful staff.

Thank you for this great review. I'm glad we were able to be part of your Commonwealth Games experience. The weather was mainly good then so I hope you enjoyed some sunshine while following the sport? Your comments are really positive and I'll make sure the team are aware of your review, as it is really rewarding for them to know you enjoyed the service.
Thanks once again, kind regards, Gail

Don't get a room at the front of the building unless you have a remarkable ability to sleep. It is just so noisy - a constant loud engine type noise outside my room - 317 - maybe aircon, although there is none in the room - but it is seriously intrusive. I'm writing this at 1.15 am, and I'm running a course here in the morning. So not a great venue if you need to be fresh. Night porter not that helpful either.

Oh dear, I'm so very sorry you have had such a disturbed night. Thank you for your comments, they are really helpful, and I will further investigate what was causing the noise so that it can be rectified. It would be helpful too, to learn a little more about our night service, and if you have time, it would be great if you could give me a call, so we can discuss, thanks again, Gail

There is ample parking outside the hotel. The rooms were tidy and functional. We had dinner and drinks in the bar area and were well satisfied. The buffet breakfast was good. The setting within the university grounds is very nice and there is plenty of room to stroll around

Using a Groupon (£119) for two nights accommodation and dinner for one night, we found the Stirling Management Centre good value. The rooms were similar to a good Premier Inn/ Travel Lodge facility. The generous buffet breakfasts offered plenty of good quality choice in a spacious envirnoment while dinner was served in the equally spacious Conservatory. This was a pleasant meal but suffered from a long delay (20/30 minutes) before the first course arrived ... after that it was fine. A large function was being held in the adjacent room which probably explained the delay. The Centre is located in the beautiful grounds of Stirling University so there are plenty of walks and space to explore .... you can also walk to the Wallace Monument in about 10/ 15 minutes. Stirling Castle, Bannockburn, the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies are all within a 30 minute drive. All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful especially Hannah on reception who is a gem, and answered all our numerous queries efficiently with a smile.

The room was a very good size. Very comfortable beds and I slept very well during my stay. The hotel is a part of the beautiful university grounds and very close to the town.
Breakfast was very good. My only gripe was with the taps in the shower/bath which I found incredibly hard to operate.
