“A few problems”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014 via mobile

Arrived tired after a long and busy day. I had asked specifically for a river view. Only to get Frankie and bennies.road and train noise to be coped with. Not the best. Beefeater offered typical fare.THe steak was extremely rare almost blue.

Stayed March 2014

Dear Guest,

I would firstly like to apologise for the experience you had during your stay. I have raised the issues with the team so they now all understand the importance of guest requirements. Again I would really like to apologise and hope that this does not affect you staying with us again.

Great place to stay, uber clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is superb and the staff are a credit to the company. Would definitely stay here again. Great location on the river.

We stay in Premier Inns often when we travel in the UK and this one is up there as one of the best yet. Location not particularly great but perfect for us passing through Stirling for just one night and easy to find. It was as is usual with this chain, immaculately clean and seemed quite new but the particular thing we always find is the staff are excellent. We have found them without fail to be friendly, helpful and a major asset for this company. We didn't eat there but did have the 'grab & go' coffee and croissant which is great if you don't normally eat a large breakfast. So good also to have predictably good water pressure in the shower, I have lost count of the number of times the showers in much more expensive hotels just don't work properly. Well done again Premier Inn,

Partner and I booked an overnight stay here for Valentine weekend. On arrival at 1pm we were informed by the receptionist (Tracey) that our room wasn't ready and check-in was 2pm. She was lovely, very friendly and apologetic that we couldn't get into our room. It was no problem as we just went into the Beefeater restaurant next door for lunch.

Returned at 2pm to a very busy reception due to a large party booking in. We sat for around 15 minutes and Tracey advised our room was ready. The room was lovely - decent size, REALLY comfy bed, immaculately clean with en-suite bathroom (shower and bath available). The rooms are also air conditioned if it gets too warm. The location is perfect - 5 mins over the railway bridge and your at the Thistles Shopping Centre and town centre. Even though its very close to the railway station I never heard a train the whole time I was there!

The hotel is right next to a Beefeater restaurant where we had breakfast the following morning - £8.95 for all you can eat, excellent value for money and helf yourself to toast, tea, coffee, croissants, etc.

Immediately across the road is a huge Nando's with other lovely coffee shops a 2 minute walk. We had a brilliant weekend and would definitely return for a weekend break. Highly recommended.

PS - we overlooked the Nandos restaurant - didn't bother us as we were out most of the day, but on the other side of the hotel are fantastic views of the river and Wallace monument - ask for a room on this side if you're going to spend any length of time in your room and want it to be a wee bit special!

My Wife and I rrived at the premier inn city centre after a long drive and we were greeted by Tracey a very warm and friendly lady who made us feel very welcome relaxed and home from home ! check in was easy and all breakfast times explained. the room we were given was not as requested but this was in order to give us a better view and this was very much appreciated. On entering the room it was very spacious clean everything we wanted ! as it was quite late when we arrived we decided to go to the beefeater restaurant which adjoined the hotel. on leaving reception Tracey again very pleasant and gave us info on the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was excellent probably the nicest steak i have ever had up to now my wife's meal also excellent, the staff very helpful and friendly. The location of this hotel is Brilliant !!!! just a short 5 min walk to the city centre but away from all the hustle and bustle, this is made possible by the new footbridge over the railway line. I cannot find fault with this hotel, The staff Especially Tracey on Reception (she even informed the restaurant staff that it was our 29th wedding anniversary and they arranged a table for us) .were so friendly polite and helpful what a fantastic team !!!!! my wife and i went to watch the comedian Craig Hill at the Macrobert OMG !!!!! what a funny hilarious laugh out loud guy he is (If you get chance watch him)........ anyway we asked Tracey how to get to the macrobert she explained it was on the university of Stirling campus a few miles away by bus just outside the hotel or she could arrange a taxi which she did so, again very helpful and very much appreciated. As the hotel is close to the station ( not a sound could be heard) we decided to take a trip to Edinburgh a very easy accessible location. all in all a fantastic four nights in Stirling we will certainly most definitely !!! be staying at this location again...a very big thank you to all the team for making our stay so pleasant and enjoyable . i would very much recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Stirling

This was the best short stay inn we have stayed to date .
The room was first class for a budget hotel we had a comfortable, quiet night, the toilet shower and bath were very clean and the whole room was very well equipped . Staff were excellent.
