“Family Birthday in Stirling”

Amazing place to stay - home from home. Made very welcome and would highly recommend this establishment to anyone. Home made bread for breakfast was a delight and plenty of choice. Thank you to Laura for making us feel so welcome

Stayed for 3 nights with family. We had booked 4 rooms and had place to ourselves. Received the best welcome possible. Made to feel at home. Rooms spotless and comfy, breakfast was excellent!! Laura had plenty of info on places to go. Will stay again!!! Faultless!!

Absolutely wonderful one night stay.....Laura was very welcoming, giving us all the area info needed, restaurant recommendation that did not disappoint.
When we arrived back from dinner we sat in the very spacious, comfortable lounge with lots of sofas and a much needed lights fire. It was a very comfortable home from home.
Stayed in room 6, very comfortable ( though maybe some bigger towels?) lovely, spotless bathroom, comfy bed.
Breakfast was fantastic......cooked to order, home made bread/toast.....as much as you wanted.

Would definitely return in the near future and would recommend to anyone.

Our first time in Stirling, and Laura's welcome and hospitality encourages us to go back. The room was lovely, the huge lounge (which we had the run of) was fab, with wood fire, comfy sofas and great views of the Trossacks, and the location was ideal - a gentle walk . Laura is a lovely host and made us feel completely at ease. And her breakfasts were excellent. The best compliment of any B&B is that it feels as comfortable and relaxing as home but with a bit of extra looking after, and Castelcroft did all that.

This place is a rare gem and find.... Super clean and comfortable... The attention to detail was wonderful - sparking and still bottled water, cookies and chocolates in your room... Although this is what we look for when we travel - which is regular. The most noted part of our visit was the host's wonderful hospitality. She loves what she does and it shows. She is super welcoming and your comfort is paramount to her. Every morning her team and herself prepare a wonderful breakfast - enough to see is through until dinner, they even made fresh bread every morning. We were very happy there, and this is the first time we have ever written a review - as most places don't dazzle us - but Laura, the owner, totally deserves this - as well as fellow travelers, who want to experience true Scottish hospitality! Room Tip: Room number 5 downstairs was super comfy...

This was our first visit and it will certainly not be our last. The rooms were so comfortable and immaculately clean. Decor was excellent. Breakfast was a treat to fuel a long day sightseeing. The views from the large and beautiful sitting room were panoramic and stunning. Nestling below the castle with footpaths leading there , the location is ideal. I am disabled and Laura, our hostess, went out of her way to make access easy for me. Ample supplies of coffee and various teas were available in the room so we could have an early morning or late evening drink. The lovely biscuits and chocolate mint were a welcome touch. We are already planning our next visit.

Room Tip: We were in number five, one of two ground floor en suites with doors onto a secluded walled patio wh...

Best B&B we have stayed at- lovely decor and location and Laura is the nicest host you can hope to meet traveling. Like staying at a lovely aunts beautiful home that happens to be located down the hill from a historic castle and an easy walk from a wonderful town. And that aunt makes you fantastic breakfast. Tip- you can hike the hills beyond the William Wallace monument by taking the roads or trails behind Stirling U. Head up the hill and through a public access gate in a sheep and cow pasture to hike (or mountain bike) to amazing views of the valley, monument, and town (a great Scotland experience). Be sure to stop into the Wallace pub for a pint in the town below. Go to Stirling, stay at Castlecroft- it's a wonderful way to spend a few days.

Room Tip: We stayed in #5, which is across from the breakfast room, but only heard minimal noise in the mornin...
