Where to start really! None of things on there own are a big problem but when asked to pay £140 a night for the pleasure it's truly horrendous! I'm in Stirling with work for a few months and had been into the lobby area the previous week as we knew we would be in the hotel the next week. The lobby is beautiful - very impressive but then it goes down hill.

The greatest ahcievement of this hotel and probably sums it up, is the way they decided to fix a broken window not by replacing it but my shoving a plastic bag into the gap!! (See the final photo)

- The lift is damaged and has lots of dents
- The stairways have dents in the plaster and damage to the plaster
- my wardrobe was broken
- the bin in my bathroom hadn't been changed since the last guest
- the white bathroom suite was dirty
- my bedding had a fag burn in it
- the room was cold
- the iron was not hot enough to uncrease clothes
- food was terrible and so we only ate in the restaurant once
- breakfast was poor - ended up having just 4 pieces of watermelon on the last morning. If you like tough and solid fried eggs this is the place for you!

I've refused to stay there again and insisted work book me in somewhere else.

My company booked me in here for a short business trip and I have to say, I was impressed. The room was clean and fresh (obviously newly refurbished), the staff were very accommodating and the breakfast was excellent.

Some of the public areas still need a bit of attention but otherwise I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We attended a works Christmas party night and had such a good night we are planning next years at the same venue.Our accommodation was bright,modern ,clean and comfortable though it would be fair to say the hotel seems to be mid refurbishment and not all rooms may be modernised.The lift and some corridors were a bit of an eyesore but please dont let this put you off.The hotel is ideally placed for visiting all the historic tourist attractions around the area including the city centre.The bar of the hotel has a nice ambience and the buffet breakfast was brilliant book with confidence

Small, but perfectly formed room - helpful staff, great for the money.
