We road tripped Scotland without prior reservations and found finding an accommodation in Stirling to be the hardest. Out of luck, we ended up stumbling upon this hotel. It was a little more expensive than we hoped for, but ended up being worth every penny. We were given a suite on the lower floor which included the largest bathtub I've ever used in the biggest bathroom I've ever seen. Bathtubs are hard to come by in Scotland so this was a dream. We had a private entrance, a huge clean room, comfortable bed, and delicious breakfast. Parking was available but everything, excluding the castle, that we wanted to visit (shopping and numerous great restaurants) was within easy walking distance. We loved it here!

I stayed at the Terraces hotel for three nights with my family. We had four rooms, a twin for my wife Evelyn and me, a double for my son Alex and his wife Laura, a single for Ms. Elder, Alex's mother-in-law, and a family room for my son Paul, his wife Sara, and our two grandchildren, Blake (9) and Sydney(6). The rooms were comfortable and the family room gave individual beds for the grandchildren. The hotel restaurant served excellent food. We even enjoyed the haggis. Sterling was the perfect spot to use as a base to explore Scotland and the Terraces was a fine hotel.

We booked for one night here in May and when we got there they had put us in a suite, which was fabulous. The place is very clean, the beds and comfy, our shower was lovely and parking is no problem. Breakfast the next morning was great and the hotel itself is perfectly located for exploring Stirling. You can even walk easily to Stirling Castle, which is an absolute must-see. Highly recommend this place, and Stirling too.

Having decided to treat ourselves to a pre-christmas night away, we booked the Terraces Hotel in Stirling. This turned out to be the most relaxing break we have ever taken within the UK. The small friendly hotel was hosting a christmas party night and therefore upgraded us (without request) to the most fabulous suite. The food, drink and staff exceeded each other and we will definately return. For couples, singles, families and pretty much the rest of the population this is trully the best kept secret in Stirling, located five minutes walk from the town centre where the shopping, eating, drinking and site seeing are in abundance.
