“A great hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Two genuinely wonderful nights here. The rooms are large, clean and have incredibly powerful showers in the bathrooms. The prices are excellent value. The buffet style breakfast is great as you can take it back up to your room and enjoy as much as you like. The location is brilliant too. Will stay again!

We stayed here for two nights using it as a base to explore Stirling & the surrounding area. The rooms were (as expected) very clean & had everything we needed for a short stay.
The hotel is bright & modern & the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good, even the scrambled eggs !! (see previous postings) good selection of hot & cold food - at the price we had paid you couldn't of asked for anything better - set you up for the day.
We suggest you catch the bus from the supermarket to go in to town £1.20 for two(last bus in is at 6pm) & a taxi back is approx £5.00.
If we were in the area again we would stay here again.

We have now stayed twice at the Holiday Inn Express in Stirling and have found it very consistent. There was an efficient, warm welcome at reception and we were quickly in our room. Everything is bright, modern and convenient. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was a choice of pillows from firm to semi-soft. It is nice to have the option of a bar and we used it last time we were there. The only slight let down is the breakfast buffet which is a little limited but, at this price, it is quite adequate.

first time booking with holiday inn and was surpr.ised.A bargain price ,we were traveling via the railway so it was quite a walk from the station.A pub next door to hotel serving good meals and a morrisons super market near by if you want to grab any every day bits and pieces. We booked breakfast its buffet style so you help yourself to what you fancy lots of choices .staff on hand if you need anything . We got a taxi from here to the wallace monument it cost 7.50 it was too far to walk to from the hotel , then got a bus back to stirling railway station from the monument.

Great place to stay for a stopover in Stirling. Room clean and comfy with great views to Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument. Staff were quick to get us checked in and were friendly and efficient on the small drinks bar and at breakfast time - lovely large selection of food for breakfast. All in all couldn't fault it - just what we needed for our short visit to Stirling, would definitely say here again.

We used the Holiday Inn express as an overnight stop en route to Aberdeen. Very good all round hotel. Everything you need and a pub on the doorstep. 20 mins walk into Sitriling town centre or 5 mins drive with cheap parking. Park and ride is also right next door to the hotel. Pub opposite was great for an evening meal with the kids. Food ok not fine dinning but we were not expecting that. Only complaint the eggs served at breakfast are vile and should not be served full stop. I did not eat any as I had seen previous reviews about them but my husband tried them and said they were awful. Other than that great stop over and cheap for a family of 4. Would book again.

Attending a Regimental Dinner in Stirling on the 23rd February we decided to use this hotel due to the locality as well as online deals. The Hotel surpassed all our expectations. Hotel was spotless throughout and had one of the most comfiest sleeps in a long time. Staff were absolutely brilliant and friendly and catered for any of our needs. Special mention to the nightshift manager who was 1st class and also very friendly and the batman whom myself and pal had a good conversation about football players from the bygone era. Cheers.

Breakfast in the morning was great even though we had to que for a little while to replenish the hot plate but that was a minor thing. Food was again excellent.

There were 3 couples in our visit and all had the same compliments to make about the hotel, staff and service throughout.

Many thanks for making our short stay very enjoyable and will definitely go back on our next visit to Stirling.

Thank you again.
