“Super location for Gatwick & more...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

Stayed overnight on my way to drop off my partner, who was flying to Ireland the next day, very handy for Gatwick & what a great find.
Beautiful room overlooking the duck pond, entertained by the ducks & their chicks. Comfy bed, great bathroom, lovely nights sleep!
Pre dinner drink on the terrace, great staff, more then helpful and super food & wine. What more do you want?
Breakfast was good and a walk around the garden before heading for the airport was a lovely experience...full marks to the gardener & thanks to Langshott Manor for a great experience, will definitely be back!

We visited this hotel for an overnight stay, and it exceeded expectations. We were concerned initially by it's proximity to Gatwick Airport, but we felt we were in the middle of the countryside. First views were Wow! It's a higgledy piggledy rambling old house, very picturesque. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated, with very comfy bed and pillows. Large bathroom with bath and shower, toiletries and robes. We sat on the very pleasant terrace overlooking beautiful gardens and pond with resident ducks, for a pre dinner drink. The food in the Mulberry restaurant was delicious and beautifully presented. We had the 5 course tasting menu, and enjoyed every course. Breakfast was equally good. We would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

Thought I would Share our experience at Langshot Manor Hotel for a 'Quintessially Delux Afternoon Tea' When we arrived we were greeted and shown to an area which can only be described as what we thought was the waiting area until it was time for us to partake in Afternoon Tea. The area was comfortable enough, but our eyes were drawn to what can only be described as a very grubby looking carpet and the baby buggies parked up in the corner, which you would expect to see in a waiting area, but no when it turned 3 o'clock a waiter came out and told us Tea will now be served..we were surprised that this would be the place our 'Delux Tea'would be served. The tea its self was nice but the surroundings were certainly not as expected and sad to say very disappointing.Would we recommend 'Delux Afternoon Tea served in Stylish Lounge'at Langshot Manor Hotel' sadly no,the seating area very much let it down and made for a very disappointing visit and not the one we had been looking forward to....

A brilliant find, for a last minute booking I was staggered, it was first stay at Langshott Manor and it certainly won't be the last. The building is stunning both outside and inside.Ideally placed for Gatwick, as I said I will be back

We decided to stay at the Langshott Manor for one night to finish off our holiday. We arrived at lunch time not expecting our room to be available however it was. We were checked in by a helpful receptionist and show to our room. We had booked the Sissinghurst Suite as an extra treat, it is a beautiful room well furnished with a large bathroom and its own small garden (ideal for a smoker)
We took a light lunch on the terrace accompanied by the hotels ducks! very relaxing. Feeling a little jet lagged decided to rest in our room, the beds were really comfortable and soon fell asleep, only to be woken suddenly by the fire alarm, I contacted reception to check, and were then informed this was only a test (notification would have been nice!) after a further rest my wife was about to take a shower ready for dinner and was shocked by water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom , again I contacted reception who came promptly looked at the problem, informed us that the hotel was full so we couldn't move rooms, told us that a member of staff was in the room above and may have left a tap running, this turned out to be the case, and the leak stopped. By this time the bathroom floor was quite wet, I would have expected this to been cleaned up, this was not the case. The dinner was excellent, breakfast the same, with very informative staff on hand.
Overall it is expensive, however the decor and the Manor, along with the ground's are beautiful. I think a small gesture of good will to compensate us for the inconvenience would been appreciated, however it would not stop us from returning.

I stayed at Langshot Manor hotel for two nights in June. We had our business meeting at this hotel, as well. It is very close to Gatwick (about 6-7 minutes by taxi), and you feel like you are in the countryside. It's quiet and very old. My room was quite big with a large bed and a very big bathroom. When I arrived, they had forgotten to fill up with shampoo in the bathroom, but when I called it was fixed within 5 minutes. Service is very good and the staff helps in any way they can. The first morning I was the first down to breakfast. I had to wait for about 20 minutes to be served a full english breakfast. Though day two, they managed it in 5 minutes. This is a good hotel if you want to stay ouside of London (and reasonable prices). However, if you want to travel into London city, I would rather pick a hotel in the city.

Booked a one night stay as a present for my wife's birthday. Booked direct as got as good a deal as by secret escapes and others offered. Luxury room, and it was, 3 course a la carte menu and breakfast. Firstly the building is amazing steeped in history and picturesque. Internally our luxury room was fantastic, comfy very well equipped and a lovely view over the moat. Bathroom was big enough to party in! The common lounge areas are extremely comfy and cosy. Weather was fantastic during stay so we sat outside but can imagine in bad and cold weather would be great tucked up by fire with a glass or two relaxing. Gardens are fantastic with a number of secluded areas to sit and be alone and quiet, we found that to be very peaceful considering close proximity to Gatwick. Lastly the food! We were blown away by the selection and standard of the a la carte menu it was gastronomic. All the staff were impeccably turned out and very friendly would definitely recommend and will be saving my pennies to return for a longer stay as soon as we can
