“Christmas at Langshott Manor - a real delight!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

My parents and I were looking for a few days of peace and quiet over the festive season after a hectic few months at the back end of 2012 and that’s exactly what we got at Langshott Manor.

Lovely rooms, delicious food, cosy and comfy lounge areas next to roaring open fires and excellent service to boot. We were looked after superbly from the moment we arrived to when we checked out and I am sure that we will be back again in the not too distant future.

As a Customer Service Director I understand the importance of good service and client liaison and it was so refreshing that the team at Langshott took the time to get to know their guests without being intrusive. We checked in on Christmas Eve and by the time we went into dinner in the lovely Mulberry Restaurant we were being wished a good evening by name and throughout the stay, every member of the team served us with a smile.

I would recommend Langshott Manor to anyone who wishes to enjoy an extremely pleasant night away in lovely surroundings, being looked after by a great team - oh and the afternoon tea is fab!

Booked 3 rooms for guests and lunch for 12. Excellent food and service. One of our number is a vegan and they came up trumps with meals and even a special dessert for the birthday lunch. Look forward to staying there another time

We got married at Langshott Manor in 2002 and we've been back a few times since. We decided to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary there as we had such a lovely wedding day all those years ago and it didn't disappoint. The manor has been renovated since our last visit but it has all been done sympathetically, with plush furnishings complimenting the period features. We stayed in the Jane Seymour suite and it was gorgeous...a fabulous, canopied bed, a log fire and a deep, luxurious tub. The food was delicious and a member of staff allowed us to view all the rooms we had used during our wedding so we could reminisce. Wonderful!

Room Tip: Would recommend the Henry 8th Suite for a really romantic experience (four poster bed and amazing, s...

We had 9 rooms and a private dinner for a family celebration just before Christmas. Everyone enjoyed it and all the rooms were good. The dinner and breakfast were excellent, and we felt well looked after, with a separate sitting room for our use before and after the meal.

Room Tip: All the rooms were nice, in the main house and in the separate annexe. I am a light sleeper and for...

Stayed in Leeds suite . Has anyone bathed in a four poster bath!!!!. Yes we had a four poster bed as well. Lovely room with seperate bath, shower, double sink and a corridor adjoining.
Cleanliness superb, food excellent and the staff even better. This is what old England is all about, wonderful manor house with lovely gardens. There are rooms off from the Manor house which our friends stayed in which were great with verandahs on the water, off their room.
Really worth a visit, no noise just the creaking of the beams, just joking.
Only slight disapointment the restaurant obviously a fairly recent addition, not surprising since the 15th century, lacked a bit of atmosphere, but the food made up for it.

Room Tip: Try to stay in Manor House , although annex rooms very good, but have only a little walk to the rest...

Second time we have had afternoon tea here. Quite a pleasant experience. Thought the four little finger sandwiches per person a bit on the skimpy side. Have had similar at other hotels at a similar price and where more sandwiches were offered for those who wanted more. Cakes were fine, and there was a little pot of desert. Not sure what is was, rather like a creme brulee without the burnt bits and with a lime green jelly on top. Tasted fine. A somewhat quaint and old fashioned place with people in different rooms having afternoon tea. Staff were pleasant, brought more tea when we asked. No rushing, and a nice way to spend an hour or two on a Sunday.

This was the second stay by my wife and I at Langshott Manor, and this time taking the deal of dinner and room on the Sunday, which is excellent value for money when booked through their web page.
On our previous visit we had a room that was the next one down from junior suite, but this time we had a classic room which is just above the standard, and it really was a lovely room.
The food in their Mulberry restaurant is excellent. The grounds are beautiful. The service is excellent. I think Langshott is a wonderful find. Just before dinner we had drinks in front of the log fire. It was all perfect. Thank you.
