“Great airport hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

Located close to Terminal 5, with the option of using free bus to and from terminal 5/hotel (about 10 mins trip duration). Hotel is well insulated from airport sound. My room was generous in size. Staff were friendly, internet access worked and restaurant breakfast was as expected of business type hotels - standard fare and enough range.

This hotel is on the free bus line, take the U3 at Station 18 at the Central Bus Station in Terminal 1,2,3. The U3 pulls thru the station as if you will miss it but then waits 10 min before it picks you up. Bus 75 seems to work, too. They go just past the Arora and drop you off across the street. We asked for a quiet room and got an extremely quiet one, no street noise or airplanes either. The Superior room was large and outfitted with heater for tea/coffee water, ironing board, hairdryers, etc. A large safe, too. The free WiFi internet access is limited in bandwidth (128 kb) and allows only one user. Upgrades to higher bandwidth are expensive and still allow only one device. If they would change this and update their information on the bus service a bit more frequently, I would give them five stars.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room.

I agree with many of the recent reviewers, that this is a decent airport hotel, clean and quiet. As it is used by aircrew, I always think that is indicative of quality.
BUT, beware of the £12.50 per 24 hour parking fee which cannot be pro rata'd and access from the basement car park to the hotel involves negotiating two steep flights of steps.Would be a challenge for the less able.
Apparently nowhere to stop outside while you register.

Room Tip: Rooms at rear isolated from road and runway noise.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Arora Hotel Heathrow.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the hotel to be clean and quiet. Our overnight parking charge is one of the lowest in the Heathrow area with many hotels along Bath Road charging up to £20 for 24-hours. We are also registered with ParkMark™ demonstrating our commitment to providing safer parking through CTTV, controlled barriers at entry and exit and carrying out regular security patrols. We are sorry you felt the charge was high and take your comments on board.

The hotel doe also have a drop off and pick up area right outside the hotel front door and our team are on hand 24-hours a day should you require help with luggage. We are working to improve the signage of the drop off and pick up area to make sure this is clearer for arriving guests.

Thanks again for your review and we do we can look forward to welcoming you back to Arora Hotel Heathrow at some point in the near future!

The staff and facilities here are excellent value for the money. The rooms are basic, but all things worked, were clean and inviting. Airport hotels can be so sterile, but Arora has personality and warmth. Once inside, you are not aware of the airport traffic. Front desk staff are very helpful. The restaurant is good, and I agree that breakfast here is a must.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Arora Hotel Heathrow.

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and found the hotel to be excellent value for money. We were delighted to hear that you felt the hotel had personality and warmth and that you enjoyed the quietness and tranquillity of the hotel.

Thank you also for your comments regarding Smith’s Grill, I have shared your comments with the food and beverage team.

We did note you felt the rooms were basic and I wanted to draw your attention to our Premier rooms which maybe an additional option for you should you stay with us again in the future. Our larger Premier rooms boast great runway views, bath robes and slippers, upgraded toiletries and complimentary bottled water and hot chocolate, free Wi-Fi and breakfast all included in the rate.

Thanks again for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back to Arora Hotel Heathrow at some point in the near future!

The staff at the hotel were very customer service oriented, in particular, Mr. Prabesh Sharmer(not sure I have the last name spelled correctly). He exemplified professionalism and customer service. He greeted us professionally and with a smile and after traveling all day, it was a perfect welcome to your hotel.. He asked if we needed anything; if we had our boarding passes, when I indicated that we hadn't been at a computer, he offered to assist us in getting them printed once we settled in our room. When I asked if there was an ice machine, another employee brought us the ice. The room was very clean and spacious. Mr. Prabesh Sharmer, arranged for car service pick up for very early the next am and the car service arrived early, which was great as we were catching a very early flight. Overall, it was a wonderful experience

I have no huge complaints. Very clean, cheap and quiet hotel just by the Heathrow airport. The breakfast was very good (recommend taking it before you head to the airport). The bed could have been a bit larger, it was little bit too small for two people (who are friends, not a couple :))

Would book again if in the area.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Arora Hotel Heathrow.

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and found the hotel to be very clean, great value for money and well located for Heathrow airport.

We are sorry for you found the bed to be on the small side, 95% of our bedrooms have King Size beds although we do have some family rooms with standard size double beds. Thank you for your feedback regarding this and should you stay again in the future please do request a room with a King Size bed.

Thanks again for your review. We look forward to welcoming you back to Arora Hotel Heathrow at some point in the near future!

Check in ok, standard hotel room. I did notice there was an extremely small iron board in the room

I called Housekeeping and asked for an Iron and Board, the man who answered the phone just grunted and it appeared 50 minutes later.

Went down to buy a newspaper in the inhouse shop and a notice on the door said " Back in 10minutes" . I waited in reception and it opened 35 minutes later.

Hotel ok but staff could do with some customer service training and english language training.

Room Tip: Try and get a room overlooking the runway.
