“Very Nice. Easy (& Free) Bus Access”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2012

Stayed overnight due to split connection through LHR.
FREE Bus from Terminal 5 at LHR is confusing as the stop for Compass Centre is not listed on the route but after asking someone on the bus they told us it is the 4th or 5th stop. Bus lets you off right in front of hotel. Bus at night and on weekends seem to be at 1/2 hour intervals so if miss it, might want to think taxi (told it would be about 10 Pounds. Bus to Terminal 3 next mornig also on the 1/2 hour intervals, is right in front of hotel. (If we were to go back to termial 5 i think that's across the street) The bus does only bring you to the LHR BUS terminal and since LHR is large it was still about 10 minute walk to Terminal 3 (Looked like you might even have to take a airport train/subway to terminals 1 or 2 but don't know exactly (I'm sure the front desk will help you with this)...just a warning to plan your hotel departure accordingly)

Hotel is very clean an modern.
Very nice staff at reception and in restaurant.
Restaurant had nicely varied menu and was very good food and not the usual hotel-near-the-airport rip off prices.

Room was very nice. Large, clean, and well kept. A lot of room for suitcases too. Almost designed for this scenario as there was large low shelf that we had both our large "vacation sized" bags on with ease for easy access for the one-nighter and get to the airport first thing scenario.

Bathroom was nice modern facilites and very clean.
If needed, the TV selection was very extensive, especially having just come from France were we had only 4 english speaking channels. I watched Big Bang Theory, but bedding so cozy I was asleep by end of the episode.

Rate was very reasonable. US/BP exchange rate still hurts, but was only like 54 pounds ($91) for room in a very nice hotel that is relatively easy to get to/from LHR. (+++ As an added plus I was able to pay my bill in Euros (they do exchange at hotel at very reasonable exchange rate) so didn't have to have Euros and Pounds since no taxi fare if take the bus)

If I had the same circumstances of flights, I would DEFINATELY stay here again.

Stayed here many many times in the past. Never fails to keep me happy.

Comfortable, all the little extras you need. Clean. Friendly.

Access to Heathrow could not be simpler.

Some nice restaurants in the area.

Just read some of my other reviews of this place....it hasnt changed and thats a good thing!

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the runway...you wont hear a thing but its kinda cool to have an A380...

I needed a good hotel the night before a flight to the USA. It was located just three stops from Terminal 1 and provided good value for the money. On the down side, the selection
on the TV was limited and food service was a little limited. But these points are mere
distractions to a very good value.

Over the years we have tried numerous hotels in the Heathrow area to enable us to 'crash' after a 24 hour flight and at last we have found one that MAKES IT EASY for jet-lagged travellers.

Follow the signs to the Coach Station and the U3 bus drops you right across the road from the hotel within 5-7 minutes.

Fast and efficient staff ensure your smooth transition to a hot shower and a comfortable bed. Extra pillows were delivered within 2 minutes as was ice and extra tea bags!!

Their breakfasts are good and the scrambled eggs GREAT on the morning that we ate there.

For a hotel with quick turnover of guests it was wonderful to see such excellent levels of genuine customer service. WELL DONE

Room Tip: All rooms are double glazed and very quiet. Choose a room at the front if you are a plane spotter

I liked the location of this hotel, to the west of the Heathrow tunnel, and with a great view of the airport (seriously - I like to be able to see an open view with something interesting going on in it). Excellent triple glazing ensures silence. Staff friendly and very accommodating. Wifi disappointingly expensive in rooms but the foyer staff did help me check in using a free session on a hotel PC. We took the room plus 8-day parking package, and it was very convenient, especially in view of the excellent free local bus service to the terminals. Taking everything into account, it was probably good value, but be careful to take VAT into account. I'd also advise against the breakfast - better to wait until you get to the terminal. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room with surprising liquid milk in tubes! And you have to hand it to a hotel named after the owner's mother-in-law. (For an evening meal, remember how close you are to the many restaurants in Southall.)

Room Tip: Face the airport if you like the view. Maybe not for nervous travellers

Access to/from hotel and airport was very easy. Hotel staff were very nice, including bringing my luggage to my room. 24 hour room service for late night travelers is a plus! Very clean. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again. Also, quiet no airport or road noise.

I've been aware of this hotel for years but did not know till recently that it had abandoned the "BA Staff Only" attitude. Now they say it is only 50% BA crews. Reception is smart and efficient - although the GBP10/ night car park was to capacity when I arrived.
My room was clean, a good bed, but a TV which took a little figuring out. A desk suitable for working was provided as were tea/ coffee making facilities.
The bathroom had a good range of high quality toiletries but please think of older guests who have to step up into the bath to use the shower. Two more things - bowed support rails to stop clinging shower curtains please and the shower head less than a foot from the wall doesn't help.
The devil is in the detail.
Food is provided iin a pleasant bar (Smiths)
Oh, and one important point - the soundproofing against the nearby airport is excellent.
