“good Premier Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2014

This Premier Inn was very clean and good value for money. These are functional hotels and this one is functioning well. The staff were very helpful and considering when we arrived the front desk clerk had just been carted off in an ambulance, the man from the Brewers Fayre next door was very helpful considering he didn't work for Premier Inn. He called someone off duty and eventually got himself signed into the computer and checked us in. even though it wasn't his job to do so. However, having checked in at about 6PM we then went to the Brewers Fayre attached to this Premier inn, and probably had the worst meal of my life. My husband's chicken pie arrived all puffy and beautiful but when he stuck his fork in the pie was almost empty. All pastry and no filling. My burger was from a frozen burger and the bun was over toasted and probably stale. Find somewhere else to eat if you stay at this hotel.

The hotel is a little way out of town so if wanting other amenities close by not the best. However for accommodation, food and parking and as a hopping of point for visiting other attractions it is very good. We used one of the special price nights which made it an excellent deal all together! It was easy to reach. The staff were very nice and helpful and the room was very clean and tidy.

As a stay over for just one night, the premier inn totally fitted our needs-a family of six with two family rooms.Everything was as expected - clean and friendly, with good food. What more do you want?

Stayed at this hotel last Saturday night whilst visiting friends. A group of 7 (4 adults & 3 children) had dinner on Saturday. The food was good, the staff helpful but the children of other diners were 'running wild'. Felt sorry for the staff carrying hot food having to dodge through them.
Breakfast was always (stay here often) excellent, service was efficient and attentative without being obtrusive. Always a pleasure never a chore!

This hotel is excellent for locality and the price is excellent, the staff especially are the best as they are so helpful. The shops are all near by and it is a quiet hotel. I would stay again for another weekend

I have recently returned from another pleasant 2 night stay here. The hotel is small but very welcoming and clean. The staff are always friendly and pleasant, (Shirley on reception in particular).
There is a retail park opposite the hotel along the road about 5 min walk) with numerous shops, coffee shops, takeaways and supermarkets also a pub restaurant which is more welcoming than the adjoining Brewers Fayre on site. I will happily stay here again when I am visiting the area and I would recommend it.
