Booked the castle room with a four poster bed. Room was brilliant, comfy bed, big bath, very clean and warm. Castle theme was brilliant.
Owners very welcoming and helpful.
Hotel was just off lord street so blood location.
Breakfast was well cooked and delicious.
Would definitely go again.

Barbara and I were married in Southport Town Hall on 26th Oct and 25 of our party stayed in the Dukes Folly on the 25 & 26 Oct. To say we had an excellent stay would be an understatement! The evening of the 25th in the bar was excellent . Rooms were very quirky but very comfortable and warm. Breakfast excellent. Then comes the good bit! After the wedding all our guests(50) returned to the hotel where we enjoyed two wonderful buffet spreads (afternoon and evening) and another excellent time at the bar!!!
Overall it was a lovely experience, enjoyed by everyone. Proprietors and staff could not do enough for everyone. Well done the Dukes Folly.

Room Tip: Ask for theme rooms for a bit of variety and fun!

We stayed here as part of a group soccer tour and the hosts at this bed and breakfast genuinely love what they do. We felt like part if their family and their attention to our every request was very appreciated. The rooms were small by US standards but each was interestingly decorated and very clean. Breakfast each morning was traditional and tasty - cooked to order! Thank you for a wonderful stay - we hope to return someday.

We had an excellent two days in this hotel.Staff were very friendly and most helpful and are a credit to the hotel.Only 20 yards from lord street and five minutes from the promenade.Breakfast was first class and perfectly cooked to order.Hotel room does need a little tlc but this did not detract from our pleasant stay, will return.

My 3 C's are based on its CONVENIANCE for all of Southport. Location is good and easily accessible.
the second C is for
COST
This place is COST friendly for the accommodation and is quite cheap for the place including breakfast of which I will inform later. The rooms are comfortable and homely as it the whole place .Quirky and different and yet friendly. The bedroom was adequate though at times FreeView went off but easily solved .Rooms are clean and war
COMFORT
As above I found the place comfortable and welcoming .The breakfast was perfect .What I requested was brought and was up to standard indeed and filling .The full English was NOT swimming in grease but presented nicely and Hot coffee
The staff very friendly and non rush just go as it is which is brilliant as most hotels rush you ,this one was very good and making you feel relaxed
I would definitely recommend this one

Spent a two night break here last weekend, after our initial shock of what looks like an iron gate as our head board, in what we figured was the Greek room, and had a view of the house next doors wall... the hotel was a lovely place to stay, later breakfast times if you want to sleep in, and late check out too, which makes a nice change from 10am rush to leave, breakfast was a vey nice full English, with toast, cereal etc if you want it. The young man who was serving on the bar both nights was very friendly even at 1.30am when us and 2 other residents where still up chatting !!! As where all the other staff we met. There was a few areas which could do with a good clean, but over all a lovely family hotel which I would stay in again, thanks for a great weekend.
