“Great Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

Would definately recommend this pub, great varied menu, the fish pie was amazing but doesn't need any extras, the sea bass fillet in garlic and lemon looked amazing and my husband assured me it was excellent. A very busy pub we couldn't get in on a couple of nights so go early. Beer garden is the sunniest in Tenby.

“Nice Pub , Good Food , Lovely Beer Garden”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

We have been going to Tenby as a family for many years and always walked past the Buccaneer Pub but never went in.
Last year with our kids getting older we decided to try it out.
We walked through the bar and found a lovely Beer Garden to the rear bathed in Sunshine.
We visited it twice last year and again twice this year ( August 2013 ).
It has a varied menu which is reasonable priced.
Myself and my wife always have a salad.
The Pembroke Salad is fantastic ( except for the olives, me and the wife hate olives :) )
The kids love the meals and I love lazing in the sun having a beer with a nice meal on holiday.
We will definitely go back in years to come.
The only negative is, it does get busy and you might have to wait for your meal.
On the Saturday we went we got there at 11.30am and they don't take food orders till 12.00pm.
By 12.00pm the Beer Garden was full and people were all wanting to order food.
As the clock struck 12 about a dozen people walked to the bar to order food.
If they had only taken food orders a bit earlier it might have relieved the pressure on the kitchen.
We ended up waiting 30 minutes for our food as did most other people.
I suppose it's a sign that the place is popular but if you are running a business, that depends on tourism, which in this country could be for only 3/4 months of the year, you would want to get as many people through the door and fed as possible.
It is a nice pub in a lovely part of the world and overall I would definitely go back.
Enjoy!!!

“Best fish pie in the world”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013 via mobile

Recently visited Tenby and had 4 meals in this pub and wow what fab food especially the fish pie! The only problem we had was the queueing as its such a popular place and you have to queue at the bar 4 both food and drinks which made for a long wait if you only wanted a drink. But don't let that put you off its a fab pub with fab food!

“Awesome Value For Money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Recently had a weeks holiday in Tenby and found this Pub that did food and I have to say it gives awesome value for money. We ate here at least three times during the week for our evening meal and each time the food was excellent for the price we paid. The menu is a typical pub menu with a couple of steak options as well as steak and Ale pie or Scampi etc etc. All the food arrived hot and we did not have to wait too long.. I will definitely eat here again when we return to Tenby...

“Good Food & Well Filled Plates”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

The food was good, and there was more than enough on our plates. We booked earlier in the day, because we were in a large group, and wanted to eat fairly early because of having young children with us. Unfortunately being a Saturday night the place was extremely busy, so we had to wait a while for our table, and then quite a wait for our food [try keeping young children waiting whilst sitting at the table]. However, it was worth the wait, and with eleven in the group, and a couple of bottles of wine, the bill was only a little over £100. However, we only had a main course, and because of the delay decided not to order puddings there. It was good wholesome food, with enough interest for three vegetarians too. The only downside, was being asked to pay the bill upon ordering, which apparently they do when the place is busy.
