“A little gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

We popped in here on a Sunday night so the place (as most of Tenby) was pretty quiet.
The place is a small with a lovely traditional feel, though in the decoration there are nods to the Thai cuisine on offer alongside the more traditional pub food.
I had a lovely carbonara, hubby went for the Thai which he said was really good. I finished off with the most deliciously evil chocolate fudge cake.
We hadn't wanted too big a meal but were really pleased with the food here. Well worth a visit if you don't want to be spending a fortune

“Poor service, poor food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

Lovely location, lovely layout, really cosy and quaint. Was a poor reflection on the place as they were really busy on a Saturday lunch and massively understaffed. But still, expect better. Slow service, poor food. Dipping bread took 15 minutes, mains a further 40 minutes, waited 20 minutes to order desserts and another 20 for the bill. Was in no rush as we were on the way back to the Midlands after a 4 day break in Tenby. But no apologies or even clue as to what seemed to be going on. Even overheard the waitress slagging off the management because of not helping out and being lazy.

“Great pub, average food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

As others have said, this is a fairly small pub, although quite a few tables outside at the back. It is, though, a 'proper' pub with friendly and helpful staff and friendly customers - we got chatting to several. It was Saturday eveniig, so fairly crowded, but we managed to find a table as we'd arrived not long after 7 (10 minutes later there were no seats left).
We were warned that the kitchen was busy and food would take about 20 minutes, which it did, but disappointed that the starters were rather overcooked. They may well have bought in pre-prepared spring rolls, etc, though taste was OK. Mains were OK too - a decent portion and not bad tasting, but I wouldn't really call it Thai food.
Prices were very reasonable, and have given it 4 rather than 3 on that basis and for being such a friendly pub.

“Excellent Traditional Pub.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

The Coach is one of a dwindling number of true traditional pubs still remaining; Those that have not been renovated or refurbished still retaining their original character.
The coach ,with its original stone walls and exposed beams offer a great menu with classic pub food ( some dishes with the chefs original twist) and an extensive Thai menu which is a bonus in a pub , its really good too!!
