My wife and I stayed at the Myrtle House hotel in November, with our 4-month old baby. What a welcome we had! Jan, the owner, could not have been more helpful if she'd tried.
We stayed in one of the front rooms, so we could just about see the sea, through the bay window.
The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and a travel cot was provided for the baby. The breakfast was excellent and the Earl Grey tea, bought especially, was delicious.
My only criticism, and it's a minor one, was that the bath was tiny. It was only half a bath really. Still, it saved on water!
I found the garage, a short walk away, to be a very useful facility, as parking can be a problem in Tenby.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tenby.
It is very well situated, right in the middle of the town, and yet near the sea.

This hotel is clean and friendly - for us the first two essential requirements for anywhere we stay. Combined with an excellent position then it is well worth the 3 stars. However, it is like a lot of English hotels in that it is caught in a time warp. The cooked breakfast is excellent but after a couple of days it would be nice to have some yoghurt, fresh rolls and perhaps some ham and cheese. The walls have too many old pictures and combined with the flowery curtains give it an out of date feel. Also our room at the back was tiny whereas the front rooms seem much bigger. I know this is not the owners fault but it isn't ours either. Don't get me wrong you will be fine here but it wouldn't take much more effort to make it really good.

My family, friends and I stayed at Myrtle House to celebrate my 30th birthday and it was absolutely superb. They were the most pleasant hosts I have ever met and nothing was too much for them. I am unable to have wheat, gluten or dairy products, and they managed this exceptionally well and went out of their way to make sure I had sufficient food throughout my whole stay, and even offered to cook something during the day if I was unable to eat out. I could not recommend them more highly and this is the one B&B I will definitely be using again, and the only one in Tenby. Thank you to Myrtle House!!! Sarah Davis, Birmingham, UK.

Me my partner and my 2 year old daughter booked a room for two nights for my birthday, the room we had was number 3, this room had a sea view from the bathroom window. I booked with slight short notice so we had the double room, but even though we thought it might be small for the three of us, we were very surprised, it was a large double room which we fitted a single mattress in for our daughter.

From the very start to the very end we had the best friendly service you could possibly want, jan and rob were very nice people, they were very helpful as far as luggage, advice and overall it felt like we made friends, they were genuinly a lovely family, i know that next time i go to tenby they will be the very first people to phone for a room.

The breakfast starts at 8am to 8.45am, now this time is what holiday makers usually find is the best time to get up as the day is ready to begin u have a choice of mixed fruit and cereal with orange juice or milk, or all if ur that hungry, and then u choose ur breakfast from a menu, full english does the trick, and a cuppa.

The hotel is situated about 20 yards (im not good with measurement) but either way you walk out of the building and ur on the sea front so ur only about 20 yards from the beach.

And town centre is literally 50 to 60 seconds walk from the front door, the views and the quitness of the area at night makes this hotel the most fantastic holiday experience with everything within walking distance, also the prices are very competative and as i said before a must for everyone. This holiday was supurb and its all thanks to rob and jan and their family.

Photos are being posted soon, as i have loads to share with you.

make this hotel the first place you book, i promise you it wont be a waste of time or money, complete satisfaction guaranteed.

thank you rob and jan see you again soon.

This is a typical B&B and for the price, great value. I asked about the room size and was told by Jan that they were not large but typical of an English B&B - I therefore paid slightly more for single accommodation in a double room. I found this perfectly adequate for my needs, a stay of 6 days.

The whole atmosphere at Myrtle House was very friendly and warm and the location was perfect with easy access to the town and the beaches.

I would certainly recommend this B&B to my friends.

For those who are looking for a good place to eat then I would recommend the Blue Ball in Uppper Frog Street - a great menu and nice wine selection.
