“Fantastic Hotel!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Stayed here on the 31st March - 1st April for the Easter Bank Holiday!
The hotel is in a perfect location with fantasic views, 2min walk to the town and second to the beach.
Room was ideal for what we wanted for the time we were there. Very clean and warm.
Lovely warm welcome when we arrived and staff were brilliant and very very helpful.
Breakfast was lovely (not too early either)

I WILL definately be going back to this hotel very soon.
Many thanks to the staff at The Clarence House Hotel 5***** Star!!!

As an organizer of coach trips for some 10 years now i have got to say that the Clarence hotel is among the best hotels we have stopped in. The hotel is very clean, the staff are friendly and more than willing to help you. The bedrooms and beds are clean and room serviced every day.The food and service is excellent. The entertainment was very good, and the TV's in the lounge made sure you could see the artist wherever you sat. The veiw from our bedroom window ( 219 ) was spectacular. A special mention to Hubert, a character of the hotel who added a lot of fun to our break. So would just like to thank The Clarence for having us, and making our stay a pleasurable one.

Room Tip: 219 lovely room with great views

Stayed here 18-22nd March....four girls..(aged 45-76yrs, aka The Loose Women!) as part of a coach group....who are well worth a mention...Arvonia! Anyway, back to what I'm meant to be reviewing....fab location, right on the front...well worth a quick walk before breakie...stunning views. Right by the walls / arches going into the little town and harbour. Rooms....we had singles but did peep at a few others....it's a 2star don't forget, and yes our rooms were small, but they were clean and kinda cosy! If you needed anything just ask...reception were very helpful. Food was excellent...great choice every night. Entertainment...usual singers, but they were ok and tried their best...must have been hard for them with so few in the bar. Arr yes, the bar! Nice place to be! Happy hours throughout the day...Stowells wine...large....£2!! Can't moan about that! Lovely staff...can't remember all their names (prob because of the wine!) but many thanks to Penny, Tony, Jamie, Dylon, Andrew (a workman there...see, I said they were all friendly!) and all the restaurant staff......you are all a credit to the hotel. Would love to return...if we're not banned! So if you're planning a trip to the lovely Tenby, stay here....you'll love it!

The hotel was ideally situated on a very quiet road opposite the beach. There are a few steps up to the front door but there is a side access for those less able, and plans are underway to make the front door accessible for disabled people. Large lift to all floors.
Beds were comfortable and good choice of pillows and decor was fine. Food was good and staff in all areas were helpful. Dining room and lounge were draughty when windy but there are plans to rectify this. Locking yourself inside your room is an unusual procedure so do read the instructions on the door. Most of the evening entertainment was very good and the bar is very spacious with generous Happy Hours. Tenby town is only a five minute walk away and the surrounding area is very pretty.

Room Tip: In very high winds the top floor rooms are a bit noisy but this is exceptional.

Went for the weekend which fell on an International, happy hour in bar for the duration, very cheap. Staff were very profesional and friendly. Ideal location right on the front near to Tenby centre and plenty of good restaurants, would recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

l was one of six of an advance party of walkers staying at the clarence house hotel for 3 nights
and 4 days. Penny and her staff gave not only a very warm welcome but were helpful in every
way. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff be they reception or dining room. The
food was good and plentiful and there was always a choice. Along with 80 other walkers l am
already looking forward to returning in April to revisit this warm and friendly hotel.

Room Tip: select a sea view if possible

Don't look further that the Clarence Hotel if you want to bring a group and enjoy a great time. Very warm welcome, staff couldn't do enough for you, and rooms spotless. Food excellent, beautiful linen, and waitresses both efficient and so happy. This hotel is both organised and everyone wants you to have the best possible stay.Very well run indeed.
Only down side was the dreadful draft from the bitter winds seeping into the bedrooms in the front making them cold, but management provided small heaters on request. When we left the central heating radiators were being installed, so problem will be solved.! Entertainment on Friday was excellent, but on Saturday , Jamie was awful. Not at all suited to older people and very, very loud.. We apologised for the mass exodus from the bar that evening, but took advantage of the beautiful lounge, and it's comfy chairs.
All in all, a lovely hotel, unsurpassed views, very good food, and brilliant staff, and I would have no hesitation on bringing my group back here again.! Well done!!
P.S. Musn't forget Hubert, who is an asset to the hotel, with his somewhat quirky stories, and unique style, but a must to have as a tour guide whilst you are staying there.!!!

Room Tip: Just be aware in the colder seasons , because it is a listed building, the windows cannot be change...
