“Just what we needed.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

This B&B is excellently located a 2min walk from the centre of Tenby. We had room 4, a double room with en-suite, very clean, contemporary decor and sizeable! we stayed for 3 nights and the room was more than comfortable for our stay. Each morning Dave, the proprietor, would serve a delicious breakfast of our choosing. There was also lots of fresh fruit, yogurt etc available every morning. My partner has recently discovered an intolerance to caffeine and although Dave had a range of caffeine free teas he also went out especially to get some decaf filter coffee! very kind!

Dave, does make this place. He made us feel very welcome instantly. He went above and beyond to help us. Suggesting walks, providing us with maps, advising us on places to go and places to eat - all very good. He even gave us bread to feed the swans at pembroke castle. An excellent host, who obviously loves what he does.

We would definitely recommend Deer park guest house to others and would love to stay again!

Hi , Thank you for posting a review. We are more than happy to cater for those guests with any specific food/dietary requests. We are always stocking up with loaf crusts , the swans are always hungry.
Hopefully see you both again soon.

Dave made us welcome as soon as we arrived assisting with our luggage and directing me to the dedicated parking spaces just around the corner from Deer Park Guest House.Parking is very limited in Tenby so this was a bonus which I hadn't thought about when booking. Room 1, a double, was bright and warmly decorated with an ensuite toilet and shower which was easily regulated with plenty of hot water. It was also well heated which was most welcoming on a sunny but very cold day. The full Welsh breakfast was fresh and delicious and a warming start to the 3 days of our stay as we had planned to do some walking in the area. Dave and his staff were very knowledgable about the area, always courtious and helpful and made us welcome right up until the time that we left. Dave explained his plans for this deceptively large property and I'm sure that as time goes on and his plans are achieved, this will be one of the best places to stay in Tenby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back soon.

Hi Both, Thanks for the review. Great to see you again . As you noticed, the current town parking situation can be quite limited through the summer months and we are therefore committed to offering free parking close-by. The future plans are in the final stages of planning and you should notice a big difference on your next visit .See you soon.

I honestly believe you'd be hard pushed to find a better B&B in Tenby and the surrounding area. A clean, well kept B&B in a superb location, literally just a short walk round the corner and your in the centre of Tenby. The free parking also a real added bonus. Great value with exceptional service, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome.
The breakfast was superb, cooked to perfection and loads of it, what a way to start your day. The owner Dave was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the local area.
Thoroughly recommended.

Hi Both, Thanks for the review.
Hopefully welcome you back soon .
Just to let you know we will be retaining our parking spaces as the limited parking situation in town is getting worse and as you know, we are just a five minute walk into town.
Many Thanks

My three boys and I had a great stay at Deer Park Guest House in Tenby. We stayed in the family room which was really comfortable and we all had a good night's sleep. The room has one double and two single beds which was good to accomodate the four of us, it was clean and bed linen was fresh. Breakfast was very substantial and set us up for the day! Dave (the owner) cooked it to perfection and nothing was too much trouble, extra toast for my boys for example! The free parking is great in a place like Tenby, and Dave's genuine interest in keeping his guests happy helped make the weekend so enjoyable - definitely will stay again!

Room Tip: Just ask when booking as there are doubles, singles, the family room and a twin available.

Had a great few days in Tenby,.myself and partner travel down from lancashire to visit family in Tenby.
What a welcoming homely reception we received, the hotel is very clean, we really enjoyed the breakfast, all local produce, and my home made veggy sausage was great.
Definately will be booking in again.

The bed was broken so we could not sleep in the same bed. I had to sleep in the single bed. When having a shower it was either boiling hot or freezing cold.
For the amount of money charged we would have liked a lot more for it.

Room Tip: Sorry Dave but I could not recommend your accommodation at this point. The other positive besides D...

Hi,
Thanks for your thoughts on your stay. I am sincerely sorry that you experienced prolems with your room.
The bed ,on investigation had been damaged and this was not picked up on the room changeover . I am sorry for this ,as the `bed ` bit is quite important in this business !
The shower ,albeit a new electric unit ,has lately been a little tempremental when there are multiple draws on the water supply ; a new dedicated feed from the water tank is on the winter `to do ` list.
The room which you booked was a family room which can sleep 4, this is why the room rate was signficantly higher than a regular Twin/Double room .
We are in the ongoing process of sorting out the many niggling problems that exist with a building of this age and nature and would be pleased to welcome you again if you are planning another stay in the area.
Many Thanks.
Dave S.
