If you're looking for the personal touch then this is the hotel for you. It's not actually in the town of Tenby but is instead about 8 miles away in a pretty village called Manorbier, which has a castle, a beautiful church and a stunning beach. The hotel itself is very traditional inside, a tiny bar downstairs and a dining room with fantastic views over the ocean. Our room was a decent size with a double bed, complete with tea/coffee facilities and a television. The bathroom was finished nicely but had no bath, just a shower. The staff there are very friendly and accomodating. The first thing they did was offer us tea on the lawn outside, which I thought was sweet. The breakfast is wholesome and Welsh, and will keep you going for the whole day. Just a 2 minute walk away is Manorbier beach, which never gets particularly busy and is suitable for small children as there aren't large waves there. The castle is worth seeing too, as is the church. There's a nice pub in the village and also some tea rooms. And Tenby is just a short drive away as is Pembroke. The only complaint I have about this hotel is the price I'm afraid - £80 is just too dear for a double room. That's why I've given it a 3* instead of a 4*. Other than that it's pretty perfect and I'm sure no one would be disappointed with this little gem.
