“Nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

This has only been open a few months but already is very very popular. Atmosphere is lovely and it gets very busy. Hard to find a seat sometimes. Food is not the best around but it is what it is. Plenty to choose from and the staff are very polite. Have to expect teething problems with a new establishment I suppose. Decor is very nice and cosy. Give it a try

“Quick service; tasty meal; polite staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

We visited this Wetherspoons restaurant for lunch at peak time, 1pm yesterday and after ordering our food were prepared for a fairly long wait. We look around us, admiring the new layout, spacious surroundings and views up to the roof terrace though a cleverly designed central roof window. Within ten minutes, our food arrived - tasty and cooked to order. We will definitely return (but not until after the tourist season has finished) as the staff, in my opinion, will struggle at the current level to cope with the extra pressure the busy summer period will bring. However based on this experience, we have no complaints.

“lovely”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

fantastic views from the seating upstairs, bit of pain having to go all the way downstairs to the otherside of the bar just to use the loo. food not bad can be a bit of a wait sometimes...have been a couple of times and they have run out of food.. great atmosphere and great to see Ilfracombe busy!

“Very average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

The new wetherspoons is a pretty impressive building. It was a lovely day so we sat on the terrace complete with astro turf which was very soft and bouncy. Food was pretty average but most meals included a drink and price was reasonable. Two of our party had cesaer salad, one of these had so much lettuce on it was laughable, definately not good value for money with a few croutons and pieces of chicken, bit of parmesan and dressing, you had to pay extra for bacon but they had run out anyway!! I guess you don't go to wetherspoons for top notch food but most pubs do a better job.

“Lunchtime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

Went here for a reliably good meal, had mixed grills. Service good too! Liked the quality of the food and the relaxed atmosphere.
