We booked fairly last mintue as we needed a weekend away, found this site on the net and came down. The site is in a small valley with a stream running through so there are some nice waterside pitches available. The valley itself was absolutely covered in primroses and cowslips. There was plenty of wild garlic about too, which we added to the pot on occasion.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, as were all the caravanners who keep their caravans there. This made for a nice atmosphere in the bar, which though basic, did the job and was cheap.
The food onsite is best described as simple pub grub. It was well done, sensibly priced and plentiful. If you want something a bit fancier, ye olde globe in the village is well worth a visit - top pub. Ilfracombe isn't a gastronomes delight, be warned and give le gendarmerie a wide berth.
The dog was welcome on site, which was nice and it was good to see kids charging around soaked through where they'd been in the stream playing.
We'll definitely come back. The fishing on site has interested a few of our friends.
